I've tried to follow DeSantis pretty closely on this, but am not expert on the topic so take it that way. Pre-COVID, I started out opposed to him, having voted for the other guy for guv. (It's FL,so there's always a but-that's-another-story story there, but ... ). I assumed he'd be another GOP -----, but, hey, sharks gotta swim, bats gotta fly as Tom Lehrer points out. But this?!?

No, not this. If there is any positive aspect of DeSantis' handling of the pandemic, it seems like it must be an unintended byproduct of a much worse, consciously arrived at, negative undertaking on his part. He hops around the state, as if he's attempting to stay one jump ahead of the latest tragedies he's helped unleash upon the state through his incompetence. But they keep coming, those tragedies born of his ambition and thickheadedness.

So it grinds on. Every day, more and more folks understand they've got themselves a governor who quite literally couldn't care less whether they live or die.

But a shift of some sort appears underway, and you can feel it swelling at the local level among parents who aren't keen on risking their kids lives in school environments rendered unsafe by DeSantis' catering to the caterwauling of a frothy mob.

DeathSantis never gave a crap if Floridians live or died. He happily tries to send our kids to school without masks of vaccinations. The teachers aren't all vaccinated. He honestly does not care. DeathSantis cares about one thing. i.e. if Orange Hitler loves him and will support him for Gofernor in 2022 and President in 2024. The number of Floridians who die along the way does not matter to him. His ambition supercedes death. He is a mass murderer and should be recognized as such. Donald Trump too.
Republicans think we are going to forgive them for this, the Nazis in Germany did too. WE won't. Death will be lucky to not be in prison a year from now. He does deserve to be there and I hope he is. He is, literally, guildy of murdering huncreds of people every day. He needs to be held accountable as does the Republica Party. That party has murdered thousands all over the nation and should be punished for them.
Republicans can disagree, but thousands of people would still be alive if they hadn't convinced them that vaccinations and masks were just liberal weapons designed to control them. Between DeathSantis and other Republican death cult governors we probably have several million dead people
OK, it isn't Nazi Germany yet but they are still trying.
Question for Republicans: what is an acceptable death toll just to prove(?) your partisan political beliefs? Give me a number. But you won't because you are cowards. If you really support Trump and DeathSantis then you could answer, what is the number of deaths acceptable to support your cause?

Even with DeathSentence cooking the books and hiding the true deaths they are still setting records.

They're a special bunch of morons down there.

One can only hope you are right that an actual shift is happening in Florida... Then again he is killing a lot of folks and I have to imagine a large majority are people who voted for him.
