Researchers at three universities in Nigeria studied the effects of Ivermectin, which is used to treat river blindness and other medical conditions in humans, on men's sperm counts. According to their study, 85 percent of men who take Ivermectin become sterilized.

Nah. We'll always be pikers compared to them. Yesterday I was listening to an armed man soberly explain to me why COVID shots are intended to reduce the human population by eliminating female fertility.

This was immediately after listening to the tattooed woman explain that she's visited the CDC website and discovered the COVID injections are designed to kill EVERYONE at some future date secondary to cardiac arrest.

No lies and no exaggeration. This is your mind on Trump. Alternatively, the sorts of minds that have always been awaiting a Trump.

#7 yeah that's happened to me too. It was explained to me as an attack on fertility for environmentalists to lower the population level. It's 1930s Eugenics meets 1970s Population Bomb meets 2010 social media fueled conspiracy theories. It was also a Tom Clancy novel where a bunch of environmental scientists tried to kill everybody to save the world.

The explainer got Delta 4 days later and thought they were going to die.

It's fun to laugh at moron anti-vaxers but seriously I wouldn't give any weight to this one study. It is a small sample and was not published by a credible journal. That said, there are other data points that suggest that ivermectin in combination with other drugs may have an effect on male fertility. It should only be taken when prescribed by a doctor.

#11 | Posted by johnny_hotsauce at 2021-09-09 09:37 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Ivermectin has been prescribed for decades. It's given on a short term basis. Any sterility is temporary and no big deal.

Self medication with livestock grade medication is stupid. But Ivermectin has been shown to reduce the severity and length of Covid symptoms. It may not have FDA approval but neither has many of the multitude of medications used to treat Covid over the last year and a half.

I would not hesitate to take it if prescribed by a physician to treat covid.

But Ivermectin has been shown to reduce the severity and length of Covid symptoms.

"Authors' conclusions: Based on the current very low- to low-certainty evidence, we are uncertain about the efficacy and safety of ivermectin used to treat or prevent COVID-19. The completed studies are small and few are considered high quality. Several studies are underway that may produce clearer answers in review updates. Overall, the reliable evidence available does not support the use ivermectin for treatment or prevention of COVID-19 outside of well-designed randomized trials."

Perhaps you'd like to share an actually well controlled double-blind study that backs up what you've said?

Vaccination has been shown to be over 90% effective at preventing COVID, and to reduce the symptoms and severity in the few who do still contract it. With very few side effects. Why is today's vaccination rate still only 54%?

#27 | Posted by El_Buscador at 2021-09-09 11:15 AM | Reply

Please. Go take Ivermectin. Pay your money for it. Risk your health using it. Whatever you do, do NOT use the vaccine that billions have safely taken.

That's right. BILLIONS.

The number of people that are susceptible (break-through) that have been vaccinated is less than that of the projected efficacy of the vaccine with the Alpha version. Those are the numbers that are shaking out now. If you live in an area that is highly vaccinate that already extremely low rate is cut in half, too.

No, it hasn't.

When studied in rigorous, large scale, properly controlled studies it showed minimal or no effect.

Claims of efficacy are based on a patchwork of cherry picked small studies with inconsistent methodologies and, often, very small sample sizes.

There's a reason why Merk, the maker of Ivermectin, released its own statement saying don't take it, there's no evidence it works.

It has been credibly reported that Covid infection has a deleterious effect on male sexual function, which makes sense since it attacks the lungs and circulatory system. Now we have this report about horse paste making the taker sterile, which I hope is true, because honestly this country would be a much better place if MAGAts couldn't reproduce. So their politicians are trying to kill the MAGAts by supporting their resistance to the two actual responses to Covid that work, a miracle vaccine and masks, and now we find their preferred treatment might be making them sterile. Hopefully the numbers will be significant enough to speak in the next election.

Want a glimpse into the republican mind about covid treatments? here you go:
www.cnn.com

"I was on everything they had -- steroids, full drip, plasma from people that'd had Covid, drugs that they gave my President, (Donald) Trump. And they finally burned it out of me," Bland said. But he would not get the vaccine.
"I ain't taking that ---. I ain't taking it!" Bland said. He didn't want to detail why until he was pushed to explain why he'd trust drugs like Regeneron's antibody cocktail but not the vaccine. He turned to Rodebush and asked, "Am I going to have to tell her?" Rodebush laughed and shrugged.

"They shafted my President," Bland said. He thought the vaccine was delayed intentionally to hurt Trump, a baseless claim. "They wouldn't give it to him because they know damn good and well he'd be reelected, and there'd be nothing nobody could do. So, they had to swindle around and scheme around and keep it from him, and just as soon as the election was over, Bam! There we got it."

"I'm so bullheaded. You shafted me out of my President. I ain't taking your medicine," he said. "I'll take what they gave him, but I'm not taking yours."
When reminded Trump had actually urged people to get the vaccine, Bland said he hadn't seen that. Indeed, Trump himself got the vaccine, and while he had teased there could be a shot by the 2020 election, vaccine developers and federal officials were always clear that the timeline depended on when the data came in. "I don't watch the news because you'uns have all pissed me off so bad," Bland said. Still, he was down to hang out with our CNN crew over a few beers on Rodebush's front porch.

There you have it - I'm not taking the vaccine OUT OF SPITE THAT TRUMP LOST THE ELECTION.

Repubs are killing americans out of spite.

Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using ivermectin. Using ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally."

You don't understand the issue. There is no DNA changes involved. What happens is there is a temporary decrease in sperm motility. Essentially the spern can't swim well enough to make it to the ova. There are many medications that can cause that. Once the medication washes out of a persons system, sperm motility returns to normal.

LMFAO

You can't make this feces up

I had an orthopedic appointment this morning. Sign outside the waiting room clearly asked unvaccinated people to wear a mask. And there's a box of masks free of charge. I was the only person in the waiting room wearing a mask, and I'm vaccinated. In a state with 47% vaccination rate I highly doubt the rest were all vaccinated. I overheard a conversation where one lady was complaining to another about how crowded the ER was the night before and that ER staff were asking non-critical people to leave to help conserve space. "What kind of hospital are they running?" she asked. Just WOW.

"They shafted my President ... they know damn good and well he'd be reelected, and there'd be nothing nobody could do."

Ignoring the delusional part of this person's ravings, about withholding the vaccines.

If Trump had pretended to give the slightest shht that covid was killing Americans.

He would have won that reelection.

His biggest error was not only pretending covid didn't exist. But also attacking any information about it and anyone doing anything to deal with it.

So is the headline accurate or not?

If I were taking ivermectin in the hope that it was a cure for COVID, I would say the headline was false. On the other side if you read the part about sperm reduction in the study, maybe the boys will come back or maybe they won't. I would get the vaccine if you haven't gotten it yet, why take a chance in taking a anti parasite medication for a virus.

The vaccine Democrats want you to take, that Trump should get the credit for, that Biden is going to force you to get, thank god for operation warp speed, it hasn't been tested enough yet.

Why take that when there's Hydroxychloroquine, Bleach, Bright Lights and Ivermectin?
