The thread link performance appears to be a new release from the Jethro Tull site.

I saw them 3 times in concert while in college, more than any other band, prolly because I had been playing flute with musician friends, sometimes at parties. It was easy to "get close" to some notes on the flute without too many people noticing. Andersen said that after 20 years, he realized he wasn't playing some notes "correctly", and had to change the way he played.

He also had a bad, crooked pinky finger that made it more difficult. He had always been a really good guitarist, but he says that after hearing people like Eric Clapton, he decided he needed a new lead instrument, and bought a used flute. SO glad he did!

I got a flute a month or so ago after not having one since college (It's my covid flute). Now I can play most of the notes again, but not particularly well yet, and not always in the right order, lol. I was just glad to get some clear notes out of it. And with all the instruction on YT, it's a lot easier than back in the day to learn properly. And it's fun to try to play the old songs again.
