FTA- Document describes contacts the hijackers had with Saudi associates in the US but offers no evidence the Saudi government was complicit in the plot.

So. Why was it classified then?

To make us think that the saudis were more involved than they really were?

Or to make us think they were less involved so we wouldn't freak out on them?

Why would anyone want to hide the truth? Are Americans that easy to manipulate into a war?

It seems we are.

Based on what is in the article, I'd say it's probably because this document could have been used to figure out the identity of others who were probably under investigation along with tipping off how Intel agencies were gathering data.
