People who don't know where their guns are should not own them.

So.... I gotta ask...

...a Beaver, Pennsylvania, resident who told officials that he had the gun with him while he was hunting and forgot that he had it with him. ...

How do you feel about being a seat-mate with a person who has access to a loaded gun on a flight, and the person says he was not aware of what he carried onto the plane?

Really.

I mean, really.

Carrying the weapon, loaded, in a carryon?
Irresponsible, drunk, or dumb (may be repeating myself with some of these adjectives)

@#4 ... Irresponsible, drunk, or dumb (may be repeating myself with some of these adjectives) ...

Or... maybe probing the ability of the security to detect what is being carried onto aircraft?

I mean this act was so incredibly stupid, that I got to ask, what was the true purpose? I mean, really, anybody with two neurons to rub together would know what the result of this act would be.

To my eyes, the person was ascertaining what is detected.

What the TSA now needs to be aware of is what will the next step be?

But I think they may already know that.

Maybe.

Maybe not.

In the security world, you cannot explain away a threat so glibly.

Sorry. Even if he was, only an irresponsible moron would "test" the TSA with a live handgun.

Some Orthodox church was shut down here on 9/11 due to some kind of threat.

After the Tree of Life got shot up, people take that stuff seriously here.

Redial,
Why have you completely disregarded the likelihood, or even the possibility of malicious intent?

Are you oblivious to possible worst-case motivations?

Asking for a guy who wants to take libruls out back and shoot them.
