There's been a Class War since Reagan and the 80's ongoing.
It just took most of America 30-40 years to wake up and
realize what was happening. Those few that pay attention,
they've known it from the start.

So empty-headed AOC wears a 'Tax the Rich' dress to a $30k/head event...a dress designed by a girl dating the heir to the Seagram's fortune at that. Given it is empty-headed AOC, I am going to assume she could not actually read what was written.

Then again, the ex-bartender has amassed quite the fortune on the backs of the stupid liberals...sort of like 3 house Bernie.

BTW, there already was a class war, and you lost.

On another note: Businesses and citizens fleeing from CA will continue - BUT no problem as Newsom can just raise taxes on those remaining to make up the lost tax revenues.

If businesses and people are fleeing... why is it still the most populous state in the Union? Texas has far more "real estate" and yet has 10 million fewer people! Florida has warmer beaches and yet Cali has twice (probably more)the population.

Pighbrains resent self-made people especially if they are women. If the tax burden lands on the middle class it's because they are supporting the wrong people. The poor are not the ones bilking you. If you vote republicl0wn I don't feel sorry for you and your "tax situation". You did it to yourselves with your stupid wars where billions suddenly evaporate into military failures and not a peep from you. Money well spent in your mind.

You fought commies so that you can enjoy your socialist-style benefits, which you think the rest of us don't deserve.

Pig brains often mistake flamboyancy for business acumen... and you have a jealous nature. Jealous of those that have more and those that are getting something good YOU think they don't deserve.

"If businesses and people are fleeing... why is it still the most populous state in the Union? "

What do those two have to do with each other? That's like having a 20 oz leaky container of water of water claiming it's not leaking because it still has more water than a 10 oz container.

If people and businesses aren't leaving California, why did the 2020 census show fewer people than the 2010 census? Why did California lose a congressional seat?

"California has been steadily losing people to other states for years. From 2010 to 2020, about 6.1 million people left for other states and only 4.9 million arrived from other parts of the country, according to an analysis of census data by the Public Policy Institute of California."

Read your quote above a few times and let what you said sink in.

Now, ask yourself why people who put their life on the line "fighting commies", lived in tents, ate awful food, dodged bullets, maimed by IEDs, spent years away from their families etc. don't deserve something more.

As far as their benefits, it's what veterans are contractually guaranteed. Do you think the US government should renege on their contracts with these servicemen to make you and people like you happy? How are their benefits any different than contractually guaranteed pensions from civilian corporate retirement plans?

California is still the most populous state in the Union! You discuss the loss of (visible) population as if it made a dent in its world standing and economic prowess... it probably won't lose that in your lifetime. So technically you are hand wringing.

Besides the entire country is losing population ...

It's why we need immigrants... doh! We've been telling you that for years...

Then the people working remotely... fine go live in Kansas or Nebraska in January while you do your Cali-based job from your storm shelter to avoid taxes... whutevah.

CA is still blue and right now the red part of Cali is on fire. Seriously look at the map... red part of the state in the fire zones... toasted... gonna cost a lot to fix that too. Why don't you republicl0wns take better care of your property? Rake the forrest 'n stuff.

Ya see? It's all relative

When my country was attacked on 9/11 it was civilians who saved us while you were flying around in circles after the fact wondering who inserted that jetliner into the military's home office.

Your courage, hard work, and the risk of defending this country are not qualities special to you or exclusive only to military personnel. We all make sacrifices and work hard. You are not special for bivouacking on foreign soil in a useless war you are trying to give meaning to.

BTW... I think you deserve the benefits you get via your "contract". Seriously I do. I resent it if you think and work for its exclusivity to a select few.

Everyone should have access to medical, education, loan assistance, retirement and housing assistance if they need it.

We paid military personnel for almost 8 decades to lose war after war. What other businesses get to slide on that many super expensive losses? We dump billions into military experimentation and failed experiments every year.

If the military weren't a cadre or businesses consistently bailed out by the US government ... feasibly you could lose your retirement just like those who work in the private sector when a business tanks another job and contracts aren't worth the paper they are written on.

For all the whining and mocking done by Republicans, deep blue California remains the 6th largest economy in the world by itself. Yeah. We are really hurting due to all the old white people moving to Texas and Florida. Ever heard the phrase, Good Riddance?

Then let them do it. Business that haven't left yet certainly will when they can no longer write off state taxes on their federal taxes. Water flowing into the state from other states that California depends on will no longer be free. US military bases, of which there are many, will leave taking US dollars with them. Mexico would gladly lease Pacific ports to the US for a fraction of what it would cost to keep them in California.

Be careful what you wish for.

All the power with somewhat less oil drilling... still have engine oil, hydraulics, carbon fiber, seat foam, wiring harnesses & shielding, tires, etc on track.

If those numbers are true, then Liberals have a LOT of crow to eat. Obviously Liberals won't actually research it to find out if this is true since they've never shown any inclination to know if their platforms are based in reality or not (the only things they care to do any research on in regards to truth is when a Republican talks). The stupid parts of the article like how we have the most progressive tax system in the universe is just stupid rhetoric. Only concentrate on the numbers and don't do the usual thing DR Libs do by clinging to the opinions in the article and arguing them so you can avoid researching the presented facts and identifying if they are true or not. That's a tired strategy that has only hurt the country so far.

From Your article:

"In 2018, the most recent year for which data are available, the top 50% of earners made 88% of all income yet paid 97% of all individual income taxes, according to IRS data compiled by the Tax Foundation."

Income Tax is one of a whole SLEW of taxes that are paid. So to argue anything on taxes when only considering income taxes makes you a disingenuous lying piece of ----.
Are you a disingenuous lying piece of ----, humtake?

In your post about empty-headed bartenders, it appears you misspelled "Lauren Boebert."

Especially when the vast majority of workers (~70) pay more in payroll taxes than income taxes over their lifetime.

That's a lot of what I experienced moving back 'home' a decade ago from southern AZ. It's nice to be out of the desert, have some water to play on, and be near family. The stifling religious supremacy, the overwhelming Tea Party/Trump Republicans, the intolerance for pretty much anyone not white and Christian, almost makes me miss mesquite, cactus, and rattlesnakes.

A class war is the notion that those who are too stupid to take care of themselves could somehow muster the muscle power necessary to make those who are already paying their bills pay for even more.

It's kinda silly.

In reality, lower income earners should count their blessings that they live in a country where other people cover the cost of their "fair share" of being part of society.

They would not be happy if some change in circumstances led to them actually being forced to pay their own "fair share."

I know I would be a lot worse off.

If payroll taxes are unfair, maybe they should be eliminated.

You down?

Of course not; it's sheer idiocy.

As is pretending an up front tax break is somehow equal to an IOU payable decades later, after a ridiculously small annual return.

"Tell us you're a moocher without saying you're a moocher."

I am absolutely a moocher. I create zero wealth. I only consume the wealth others have created after it is taken from them and given to me by the government.

"Income Tax is one of a whole SLEW of taxes that are paid."

Yeah.

It would be better to state it this way.

50% of taxpayers contribute to 2.9% of the total cost of continuing operation of the federal government. They may contribute more to the continuing operations of state governments, and if they are legally earning money they are contributing to their own future entitlements.

That statement would be true and honest.

Your math is off.

Your denominator is wrong by the size of the annual deficit. Literally.

^In addition, your claim assumes only the wealthiest ever put gas in their cars, and thereby aid the "daily operations" of roads via the gas tax.

Is it that you don't even realize you're lying, or you're lying on purpose?

Please help us understand which one it is.

Don't forget your rental property, where you cut out the middleman and take others' wealth directly.
