The most important right the American people possess is the right to vote. If you believe in America, it's because we shed the tyranny of the crown for independence and democracy. All other rights are basically meaningless if you can't change how you're governed.

Apparently, there are those who think the way to change how we are governed is through intimidation and violence, not through the voting booth.

Any improvement to voting rights is welcome but don't think that half-measures will suffice to restore all Americans right to vote. Every fomrer felon in America should have voting rights restored with no use of fees or fines to deprive them of that right as the state of Florida still does. The GQP in our Legislature uses every possible tactic to continue to deprive citizens, who paid their debt to society, of their right to vote. The GQP does not believe in democracy and they need to be removed from office ASAP.
