Who cares.

The movies can't suck any more than they already do.

OK, now I won't watch any of the movies I wouldn't watch anyway. Adults don't really care about super heroes, hopefully the biggest part of their audience will soon actually become adults. The only thing worse than a free ticket to Disney World would be 2 free tickets to Disney World.

Literally, IQs are judged by the person's love for childish entertainment. The more the subject loves such stupity the dumber they are then considered to be.

Jeez Danni, nothing judgey or elitist sounding about your opinion of people who enjoy a form of entertainment that differs from yours.

#3, #4 - Just another form of progressive elitism.

A true liberal would not care what form of entertainment people indulge in. They wouldn't judge people by where they spend their family vacation. Progressives like Danni do.

"Literally, IQs are judged by the person's love for childish entertainment."

Obama likes Disneyland. What "literally" is his IQ, Danni?

Unbelievable.

Elitist progressives and conservatives suck.

5 and 6 were deserved. If you don't care then let it go. There is nothing in IQ screening or testing about your entertainment choices.

These movies make billions. Of course Disney wants to retain control over the characters.

I get why y'all are bagging on Danny but c'mon, those movies are really really bad.

I don't care what you like or don't like. I'm not going to call you low IQ for liking something I don't.

Progressive? Seems like a lot of conservatives feel the same way about super hero entertainment.

I haven't seen the new Marvel movie, but I usually watch the new releases eventually ... it's a mental vacation for 2 hours.

Because god forbid you come up with original ideas.

I can't wait for the comic book trend to be done.

You're just as bad except you KNOW your acting like an -----. So you judging the whole industry? All the writes, artists, grips, actors, sound guys, lighting, illustrators, set designers, costumes, basically everyone who is making a living doing Marvel just because YOU think it is poor entertainment in spite of millions of others who enjoy it? Go piss up a rope.

Danni still thinks comic books and their characters are geared for little kids. This is not the first time she said this kind of --------. She thinks comic books are simplistic stories where the good guy swoops in, punches the bad guy on the chin and tells their child readers to eat their vegetables.

With the exception of comic books specifically targeting children, comics are written for adults.

The people who work on those movies are just paying their rent. If the audience wasn't a bunch of morons who demand endless clone superhero movies, they'd be making better movies.

it's not like if we stop making superhero movies other movies wouldnt take their place.

And it is poor entertainment. You can't write a good story that appeals to the whole world, but that's what studios have to do with these movies because they're so expensive. You have to sell them in every continent to make your money back. So they have to become something that requires no complex story or dialogue. Just invincible heroes punching invincible villains through walls for 3 hours, fighting over glowing rocks.

They are. But not just little kids. They're geared for people who can't comprehend complex characters or stories, and enjoy watching people punching each other back and forth for hours - so little kids and moron adults.

Not as bad as the DC flicks.

I'm about retirement age and grew up reading the Marvel stuff. Great fun, at the time. Really loved Dr Strange(comix) and was very concerned they would screw that up. Very pleased they didn't. In a stressful, deeeply screwed up world, a bit of fun, mindless escapist stuff can be just the ticket. It is deeply disappointing that that is pretty much all that gets any run time at the locoplex. Studios have so much money invested in this crap that they're scared to death of offending anyone or challenging their audience any more. Think "Taxi Driver" could get made today? Or, more importantly, get wide release? Mel Brooks would get run out of town on a rail.
