Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Mother of Tyler Gilreath post on Facebook: My incredible son, Tyler Gilreath, lost his battle with a brain infection that ruptured after contracting a sinus infection that moved to his brain. The sinus infection was a result of Covid he contracted 3 days after moving to UNC Wilmington. He was very sick with Covid for about 3 weeks and but healthy before. No, he was not vaccinated. He rationalized that a healthy 20 year old that gets it "won't get that sick". I cajoled, encouraged, threatened, and nagged for him to get vaccinated. He was too busy and/or concerned about the "possible long term heart issues" but finally agreed to get it at soon as he moved at school. He didn't get the chance. I am devastated beyond belief. The only thing that brings any sense of meaning to this needless tragedy is that Tyler signed up to be an donor when he got his license. Tomorrow his body will be harvested so up to 80 people can live or enjoy more normal lives with the gift of his organs, skin, tendons, ligaments, etc. He will live on in my heart and through those recipients. I know he is with God, but the hole in my life he leaves will never go away. I love you, Son. Rest in peace.

His death is on Joe Biden, for encouraging and mandating vaccines.

He was young and thought he was invulnerable just like most kids his age. I guess he didn't care about the older folks he might infect and kill.

Sorry for his family.

At most of the US universities rated highest for academics, students were required to be fully vaccinated before returning to campus this fall. At my alma mater, masking, social distancing and testing are still required, and instances of Covid are quite limited. All of these schools are driven by 'the science'. Many are private schools, out of the clutches of the raving loonies who would act to ban masking and vaccination requirements. This young man, self-selected as a superman, suffered for his perspective. Too bad for his mom...

He was too busy and/or concerned about the "possible long term heart issues"

This is only a concern relevant to D1 or pro athletes ...
Also getting actual Covid causes heart issues.

" He was too busy and/or concerned about the "possible long term heart issues""

Good news: he won't have to worry about that anymore.
