Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends urgent action to increase Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccination among people who are pregnant, recently pregnant (including those who are lactating), who are trying to become pregnant now, or who might become pregnant in the future. CDC strongly recommends COVID-19 vaccination either before or during pregnancy because the benefits of vaccination outweigh known or potential risks.

"CDC strongly recommends COVID-19 vaccination"

This is great news for pregnant women. I know of at least one who was not getting vaccinated because it's been hard to get/stay pregnant.

We still don't know the effects on the unborn or babies. We have adult long-haulers gimping around for months afterward we might have children doing the same thing.

Zeka virus left Brazil with a population of microcephalics. It's sad and tragic.

"We still don't know the effects on the unborn or babies."
And those will be very difficult studies to conduct but we do know that pregnant women are dying at alarming numbers. I would have to agree with those encouraging the women to get vaccinated.

How bout a law requiring women of child bearing age to take the vax in order to protect the fetus?

Any harm to a fetus resulting from failure to do so would be treated exactly as a Texas abortion.

Red States should be giddy over that, right? We all know how the fetus is a higher priority than a fully formed woman birth-person who may have conceived by criminal forcible rape.

Lets impose the same vigilante reward system on prego women who refuse to get vaxed to protect the fetus, that the Texas law imposes on women who terminate a pregnancy.

'Failure to protect' would be criminal negligence.

Whad'ya say, Righties?

Why is the word "women" in the headline?

The CDC went out of its way to avoid using the words woman or women.

"Why is the word "women" in the headline?"

Should it have come with a Trigger Alert for deplorables like you?

I'm a "deplorable" for pointing out the CDC's deliberate scrubbing of the words woman/women with this health alert?

What is your point?

I was mocking the CDC for putting rabid political correctness over scientifically factual verbiage such as woman, women and mother.
