Rural Americans are dying of covid at more than twice the rate of their urban counterparts -- a divide that health experts say is likely to widen as access to medical care shrinks for a population that tends to be older, sicker, heavier, poorer and less vaccinated.

Twice as many Republicans. And, to anticipate a point, I do understand some Democrats live in the country.

The Republicans have this amazing list of things they'd rather be dead than do.

And this number does not include the number of rural people whose death was ruled a suicide after they injected themselves with disinfectant and drank bleach.

Interesting how the "Jews will not replace us" crowd is actively creating vacancies left and right.

When you consider where it is raging at the moment, it's a no brainer that at this time it is killing more rural folks currently. It's interesting looking at the data and graphs though. I know it isn't all conservatives in rural America but it's probably 3 or 4 to 1.

Given that only 15% of the US population lives in "rural" settings the difference between rural folks dying and those in metro areas dying is rather stunning.

Summer Brennan's story is happening to too many people. Frankly, hospitals need to prioritize patients who are vaccinated for COVID or having issues unrelated to COVID over the unvaccinated COVID patients. To me that is Triage.

You are incredibly ill with COVID, had months to get vaccinated and did not?
You made a conscious choice to take your chances and unfortunately there were a lot like you, so unfortunately you are at the end of the line. This patient also made a choice IS vaccinated and not suffering from COVID, this patient is our priority. If we do start to provide you with advanced care and another patient comes in like this, they will be our priority also - unfortunately for you. Actions (or inactions) have consequences.

This is a good example of a thing MadBomber says isn't happening.

"We've turned many rural communities into kill boxes. And there's no movement towards addressing what we're seeing in many of these communities, either among the public or among governing officials."

The GOP is a Death Cult.

"officials and academics now blame vaccine hesitancy, misinformation and politics for the low vaccination rates."

Congratulations, GOP.
You built that!

Rural Americans have been dying at higher rates since way before Covid. The lack of access to adequate healthcare plays a large part.

#13 Rural America has been losing hospitals for decades.
Wanna know why?
Because they make more money in the cities.

Thanks, Capitalism!

A couple of paste-eaters decided to end it all.

New Mexico has linked two deaths in the state to the misuse of ivermectin to treat COVID-19, The Hill reported Sept. 27.

The state reported the two deaths Sept. 22, according to the state health department. The two people who died were among 14 in the state who have been hospitalized for ivermectin poisoning, according to The Hill.
