George floyed vandalized statues?

#3 | Posted by ChiefTutMoses at 2021-10-03 09:20 PM | Reply

Vandalizing a statue of someone who enslaved people is just the other side of the coin of vandalizing a statue of someone who got murdered.

Some days your Swastika points left, some days it points right, nah mean nam sayin?

Balance in all things. Especially vandalizing statues. And Swastikas.

Usually when one speaks out of both sides of their mouths, the first thing is their real thoughts and the second is CYA BS.

George Floyd vandalized statues?

#6 | Posted by ClownShack at 2021-10-03 09:58 PM | Reply

Not sure why there's a statue of George Floyd.

He wasn't someone you want your kids looking up to.

He was a person who's tragic death shown a momentary light on police brutality in America.

#7 Yeah I agree. His death is what's being memorialized here, not his life.

People idolized Matthew Shepard too. Who was a small time drug dealer fish who got swallowed by bigger fish. Him being gay probably had nothing to do with it. See Also: Claiming the Orlando night club massacre was motivated by hatred of gays.

Right. But.

I don't know. Just seems. It's more than the man. Or the person. Or the individual.

It's the system. That's okay with it. Or turns a blind eye to it.

Putting up a statue doesn't fix anything.

It's an empty gesture.

Here's your statue. Now shut up.

George Floyd was a piece of human garbage. He caused misery to countless families and the fact that he died as a result of a cop after he ingested a fatal amount of drugs and was uncooperative should not end up in a statue being built for him.

I think this may be the first thing that you wrote that is actually true.

You are obviously projecting some BS onto my first statement, since you think the two thoughts are mutually exclusive.

That's not a statue, it's a bust. And George Floyd deserves neither.

should not end up in a statue being built for him.

Whaaa! Whiners got to whine. Haters got to hate.

If we can make statues of civil war traitors we can certainly make statues of black men persecuted by the hateful supporters of that Lost Cause.

Good thing you haters are not in charge of statue making.

"George Floyd was a piece of human garbage."

And yet he was still a better person than you.

He was going to beat COVID-19 too, until the police murdered him.

"he died as a result of a cop"

And that's why he is being memorialized. It's a nice reminder that some cops are murderers, and the other cops are accessories to murder, and none of the cops involved spoke up or tried to stop it or thought they were doing anything wrong.

Leaving the police station as a pile of rubble would be a more fitting monument.

Statues of people who helped during civil rights movements were defaced in the last year by those claiming to be on the left. Dems failed to accept that their actions caused it. So why is it any surprise any monuments are defaced today? If your own side defaces monuments that are part of your side, how can it be bad?

Why would someone damage a statue erected to bring attention to our ongoing problems with drug overdose?

You're right.

Having the taxpayers shell out to rebuild a police station. that would show them.

You're a ------- ------.

George Floyd was a loser drug addict.

That's it. He was certainly not a monster.

The progressive left in the US has favored statues of far more malicious characters.

I'm reproducing this because I think it's just about perfectly stated:

Not sure why there's a statue of George Floyd.

He wasn't someone you want your kids looking up to.

He was a person who's tragic death shown a momentary light on police brutality in America.

#7 | POSTED BY CLOWNSHACK AT 2021-10-03 10:01 PM

He has no business being held up as a role model or martyr. By the same token his death was tragic and unnecessary and if nothing else the conviction of his murderer should provide some faith in our criminal justice system.

"He has no business being held up as a role model or martyr."

Apparently you have to be as innocent as Breonna Taylor or Elijah McClain to be a martyr when the cops murder you.

Mighty white of you to set the record straight!

I think the message got too focused on George Floyd and not enough on the system that killed him.

#29 | Posted by ClownShack at 2021-10-06 09:59 PM | Reply

I think the hope is they put up a statue and act like that's police reform.
