Good - the billionaires should not have outsized influence so I am happy they will not influence the GOP (Trump) Platform. I am sure he will give money to the Dems like the rest of the GOP that was kicked out of the party.

There's a hole in this GOP mega donor's statement and that's the deliberate use of the name "Trump." He makes no mention of NOT supporting the platform and, in fact, praises Trump's economic platform (tax breaks???).

Ken Griffin, a wealthy hedge fund manager, has a $60 Million history of GOP support. It's only Trump's brash and confrontational mannerisms that he thinks is bad for the future goals of the top 1% tier of accumulated wealth in the country. He claims that he did not donate to Trump in 2020 but also indicates his preference for a 2024 Republican candidate with a better personality.

A mini-me Trump, for example, but with some class and sophistication that he wouldn't be ashamed to have as a dinner guest. Perhaps someone who knows which fork to use and doesn't pick up a saucer to slurp up a spillover.

Znd then depended on Democrats to help them raise the debt limit in order to pay for them but the GQP is refusing to work with Demos to do the same thing today.

The moneyed elite are finally beginning to recognize the orange fascist for what he is--a scam artist eager to see rich folks part with their money, giving it to him so he can finance his lifestyle and help re-finance is mortgage loans. The wealthy have seen through the bluster, the cheap compliments and the insults. They prefer to not be in the presence of 500 lbs. of elephant dung stuffed into a cheap, untailored size 50 suit...

GOP Mega-Donor lies. He'll back whatever pony wins the primary.

I watched most of that interview as Bloomberg was airing it. It was a bit frightening that someone with that much influence had such extremist political views.

Mr Griffin espoused many (most?) of the far-right views of Trump supporters, but he is putting his money behind Gov DeSantis instead.

You mean like giving into their every wish which has nothing to do with the debt limit? Funny you never had a problem with the Dems never supporting the GOP during the Trump presidency.

Re #10

The Trumptilians had no problem increasing the National debt but they are apparently not responsible enough to pay it back.

It's the Trumpy way.

Apparently.
