Inflation is not a worry. The coin will replace congressional Approval of new spending. This could become the norm. It takes the whole partisan infighting out of continuing spending authorization. The debt ceiling is a stupid artificial construct anyhow.

I suspect that this is one of the tools in the dems toolbox. They are building the case that it has to be done because of repub obstruction.

Biden may not want to take on Machin head on by touting his economic agenda in WVa, but Biden could certainly appear in other states whose media market extends well into WVa. Same is true for Sinema in Arizona.

I had previously only read about this idea in regards to retiring the national debt, but I guess it could be used to circumvent a debt ceiling shutdown?

Why not just mint a NFT collection while we're at it.
