Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Wednesday, October 06, 2021

President Joe Biden said Tuesday there was a "real possibility" that Senate Democrats would move to change the body's filibuster rules in order to overcome Republicans' refusal to raise the debt ceiling and stave off a potential economic collapse if the federal government doesn't pay its bills.

FRESNO

"Likely the dems will be as impotent as always."

Or, more likely, Biden realizes that changing the filibuster rules is something that could come back and bite them in the ass later.

If done, this absolutely WILL bite democrats in the ass. I'm thinking it's virtually inevitable that repubs will take back Congress next year. Not too dangerous then, Biden will have veto powers - but if 2024 brings a Republican president and congress with no filibuster ... . and it's not impossible said president could be Trump again. Unlikely, but not impossible.

This is what McConnell wants.

The dirty deed of killing the filibuster will be on the dems and he'll have the ability from 2022 until the destruction of the US to rule by simple majority.

Either way, McConnell will single handedly be responsible for killing the US of A.

Only because he knows Dems don't have the balls to nuke the filibuster for anything productive, like passing the For the People Act.

Imagine a party so stunted they have to open the door to extreme tactics just to keep government functioning and pay the other side's tab, only to leave that door wide open and do nothing to stop Republicans from stealing a majority by gerrymandering.

Dems are so ------- worthless, it's infuriating.

McConnell Floats an Increase Through November: Debt-Limit Update
www.bloomberg.com

...Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer plans Wednesday to hold a vote in his chamber whether to take up a measure approved by the House that would suspend the nation's debt ceiling until December 2022. Republicans promise to block him, but Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell is floating a short-term increase in the limit that would last through November....

Puh-lease. Subtle Gerrymandering WAS the rule for both sides. Except in certain states like Texas and California for good examples. Then California was forced into non-partisan redistricting. Since then MANY democrat leaning states have made it law - the RIGHT thing to do to ensure fair representation for your state. The problem is zero Republican/red leaning states have. At the federal level this creates an imbalance of power. Red states gerrymandered out a number of likely Democratic positions and therefore are over represented.

To be clear post 2010 the GOP used math and data science to gerrymander like mad - Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Michigan and others. It has resulted in 10 years of dramatic over representation for the party that represents the minority of people in this nation.

Federal Law should dictate State level redistricting be non-partisan as part of election law protecting voter rights.

The problem Democrats have is self-segregation. They have geographic districts that make perfect sense on a map and in terms of population where 90%+ of the voters vote Dem. The GOP has some of that too, but not to the same extent. So, in one state, a rep for a district that went 55/45 GOP has the same voting power in the House that a rep whose district went 90/10 Dem.

#26 | Posted by BellRinger at 2021-10-06 08:08 PM | Reply | Funny: 2

2022 will be a slaughter for the Dems regardless. The point of all the audits was not to overturn the 2020 election - it simply is not possible to do that. It was a shot across the bow that the same tactics will not be possible in 2022+. Voter rolls will be checked and maintained. Ballot collection points in GA will not be able to be stuffed by ANTIFA like members dressed all in black with a backpack full of ballots in the middle of the night. Electronic voting machines will actually be disconnected from the internet.

These are basic things that should never have been allowed in the first place but half of the GOP in administrative positions hated that Trump was tearing down their personal kingdoms and wanted him out. But, they will now not have a choice. People finally understand how the votes are tabulated and the ways the Dems traditionally used to cheat.

Here is a prediction for you, no Dem president will match Biden's vote total for the next 3 elections. Has nothing to do with popularity and everything to do with Dem cheating be controlled.

"The problem Democrats have is self-segregation.
#26 | POSTED BY BELLRINGER"

It is not segregation. It is the fact that once Dems dominate a district, no thinking person will want to live there and they choose to move. Look at Detroit or St. Louis. Dem strongholds and total --------- losing population. This leads to the Dem fallacies about 'cities producing wealth' - no, it is not the cities, it is the fact that it is too hard to pick up and move the offices, factories, and R&D centers. People don't want to live in that filth but are forced to commute to their jobs until the companies finally wise up and move to Texas or other red states.

You did not read the report. Also, you still refuse to acknowledge what was actually covered in the audit - which excluded signature verification. All the 'cyber ninjas' did was to count the ballots and compare to the machine totals - they did nothing more. Again, because your willful spreading of misinformation and lies should not go unchecked, from the CDC:

"FDA requires healthcare providers to report any death after COVID-19 vaccination to VAERS, even if it's unclear whether the vaccine was the cause. Reports of adverse events to VAERS following vaccination, including deaths, do not necessarily mean that a vaccine caused a health problem. A review of available clinical information, including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records, has not established a causal link to COVID-19 vaccines."

www.cdc.gov

The case of the 3 people that died due to the J&J vaccine preceeds the above, so those deaths are acknowledged as being due to vaccination, and are not ignored or left out of the above statement. All this is at the link provided.

Of course it doesn't. Completely healthy people die all the time after getting vaccines - completely unrelated. Nothing to see here. Their bodies just decided that exact moment would be a great time to develop blood clots - nothing to do with the vaccine.

Yes..the problem is the totals this last election don't make good sense simply compared to historical numbers.

There are questionable totals just compared to historical totals.

I think I posted long ago I am eager to see how consistent this election is with future elections.

That will be more revealing about this elections integrity than anything else to see just how manipulated this election may have been.

Yeah, open that can of worms, then look at the 2004 Kerry-Bush exit polls, where suddenly and without precedent, the exit polling were wrong in 30 states and ironically overestimated Kerry in 26 states and bush in 4. Meaning it is awfully odd that a process which had worked in scores of elections suddenly found an issue with the Kerry-Bush election. Speak,

"rewriting election laws"

From what I read there are some questionable tactics.

But that is not the subject I am referring.

Fair voting does not necessarily need to include automatic mail-in ballots sent to homes and in fact I believe mail-in ballots can easily create unfair results with limited ability to audit effectively.

Personally, I really have my doubts mail-in ballots as they were conducted this past election will continue.

You can't really prevent people from coercing family members from voting a certain way.

There are rules about what sort of activities can go on at polling stations hassling voters.

It shouldn't be done at home either.

I question Americans sanity for continuing to tolerate Republicans and their traitorous and criminal theatrics. Especially the histrionics that are taking American lives creating more suffering and inequalities and creating chaos at the southern border.

Republicans are why the rest of us here in America cannot have nice things. We are too busy holding hands of the whining cry babies that lost at the ballot box.
