I know it's not America but isn't this an illegal conflict of interest?

Corporate lackeys. The po-po probably don't care--Xmas is coming and they have a long shopping list. Meanwhile at home, the WAGs of these sellouts are wondering when they might be turned out to 'entertain' their husbands' corporate masters...

This is a ACAB moment for sure.

And a "Just Following Orders" moment for the police.

This is the type of thing that warrants burning down the police station. (As was the murder of George Floyd.)

It's

"The Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, which regulates pipelines, decided rural police should not have to pay for increased strain from Line 3 protests. As a condition of granting Line 3 permits, the commission required Enbridge to set up an escrow account to reimburse police for responding to demonstrations."

That made me wonder whom runs that Commission, which turned out to be Governor appointee in a state consistently led by the Minnesota Democratic "Farmer" Labor Party, an affiliate of the DNC, during pipeline construction.

This one could be spun a bunch of different lol ways. Look at those Dems sticking it to the corporations and making them pay for the cost of their activity!

Church's pay police for keeping the peace. Many private events hire police to keep the peace. Heck, may Dems have hired police to keep the peace at their events and even when they are just traveling. This is all fact that can't be argued. So highlighting cops being paid to keep the peace by one organization just proves how hypocritical Libs really are right now. And the best part is the logic can't be denied. Which basically just means you will resort to what you normally do, name calling and hate spewing. Case in point, see the replies below mine now...

If the companies can't be reprimanded, sued, etc...
then at least the police should be fined, lose their job,
something...

Don't state police take some sort of pledge not to
take on work like this, as it likely represents a huge
conflict of interest?

If not, they need to instill that pledge now...

Keeping order by directing traffic at church or escorting vip thru "traffic. Vs taking someone's land/home to build a polluting pipeline has subtle differences in gravity.
