Even by the standards of President Donald J. Trump, it was an extraordinary Oval Office showdown. On the agenda was Mr. Trump's desire to install a loyalist as acting attorney general to carry out his demands for more aggressive investigations into his unfounded claims of election fraud.

I'm hoping they at least send DOJ a referral for Clark, this kind of behavior can't be allowed to be normalized.

Patience, my friend. The DOJ isn't in the habit of telegraphing their timetable to their suspect.

You wouldn't want to give Trump time to weasel out, would you?

This report from the Senate Justice Panel is just a drop in the bucket, most of which we already figured out for ourselves. When the DOJ decides to lower the boom, it will be when they've got their rat cornered with no escape route.

The wait will be worth it.
