"The trial of the defendant, who is charged with 3,518 counts of accessory to murder, was held at the Neuruppin state court, which moved the proceedings to a prison sport hall in Brandenburg for organizational reasons.

The suspect, who was identified only as Josef S. in keeping with German privacy rules, is alleged to have worked at Sachsenhausen between 1942 and 1945 as an enlisted member of the Nazi Party's paramilitary wing.

The suspect's lawyer, Stefan Waterkamp, told the court that his client did not want to comment on the allegations, German news agency dpa reported. There are no formal pleas in the German legal system."

These current American Nazis aren't making that name more popular in most of the world these days.

otoh, he obviously has a lot of support in this country.

There's not a whole lot of Glory or accomplishment to be had if you're sentencing a guy who can't even comprehend he's on trial.

The entire ruling class of Germany should have been put on trial and punished.

Let's hope they treat him as well as he and his fellow Nazis treated the prisoners of Sachsenhausen.

I can't even count the number of investigations of Trump and his partners-in-crime that are going on simultaneously. If anyone is expecting instant gratification, your way off track. Trump is the "kraken" of a pathological career criminals ~ unrepentant, unscrupulous and incurable. The tentacles of his crimes are spread all over the world, the breadth and scope of which the investigations are only scratching the surface.

When he goes down it can't be piecemeal or incremental. That would only add to his popularity among his base who also think he's being prosecuted unfairly for political partisan gain.

We have to keep our eye on the primary objective. These cumulative investigations must destroy Trump completely, politically, financially and with no recourse for his revival as a power broker anywhere in the world. I doubt, like others here, that he will do any prison time. However, if you're Trump, prison isn't the worst thing that can happen to him. Loss of power, money, property, a platform, buried in a mountain of debt and shunned as a has-been by the media is a fate worse than death. That is, if you're Donald Trump.

IMO, the law has to go straight for the jugular when the time comes. Ironclad and bulletprooof.

My #10 is in the wrong thread so let me link it up.

Trump is every bit as equal to the worst Nazi leader in history. He just has a different way of creating an enemy earmarked for annihilation. Democracy!

Maybe not for you. Did he do it? Did he become a member of the Nazi party and help murder over 3,000 humans? Then he can still be held accountable.

Re 9&10

No worries Twinpac, the lessons of the past still apply.

Trumpers better beware that history will not forget the deeds of deplorables. They can and will be held accountable at any time in the future for the deplorable deeds they do today.

If this dude is really a Nazi then he has earned the ultimate punishment and I would gladly administer it myself.

The only good nazi is a dead nazi. And I don't care how old he is when he receives his just rewards.
