Judge Donna Scott Davenport oversees a juvenile justice system in Rutherford County, Tennessee, with a staggering history of jailing children. She said kids must face consequences, which rarely seem to apply to her or the other adults in charge.

For those African Americans who think they don't have anyone to vote for because Barack or someone who looks like him isn't on the ballot, they should think again. Voting against a candidate whose interests or actions don't align with that of the voters is a valid reason to vote ...

I take it that none of the commenters so far have even read the story. It's clear that the abusive treatment by almost everyone in the county's juvenile justice system isn't targeting just black children.

Along with the judicial commissioners??
It seems this judge has managed to assemble a spare the rod and spoil the child justice system where the best way to teach a child is via arrest and incarceration.

I would probably have some thoughts on that except only one white child was even mentioned in this story.

I would look up the data on white children being detained except they stopped keeping the data obviously so that I can't do that.
