How about them Aggies?

A last-second field goal by Seth Small as time expired cemented the outcome, but Aggies' quarterback Zach Calzada was the hero. Calzada led the game-winning drive after suffering an apparent injury while throwing the game-tying touchdown on the team's previous possession. The redshirt sophomore turned in what amounted to a legendary performance after his play was heavily scrutinized in his first three starts following an injury to the team's original starting quarterback Haynes King.

Florida State legend, Jimbo Fisher

Took a few minutes to realize that Jimbo beat his old boss at his own game.

Anytime 'Bama loses it's a good day.

It is difficult for me to really understand how it is that college football is so incredibly important to the people of the deep South. It is like a disease or an addiction or a bodily essential like food and oxygen. Out here in California, meh, it is entertaining.

So you're a Trojan fan then. Meh, indeed.

Actually, I am a Wolverine fan if anything. But I don't really pay much attention. I consider the exploitation of college age athletes by huge institutions to be a turn off.

I watched Kentucky beat the pants off of LSU and tuned in just in time to see the final quarter of the Texas A&M win over 'Bama. I'll take it!

On Saturday Kentucky, an uncharacteristic 6-0, takes on the new #1, Georgia. I do not predict Kentucky to be 7-0.

Following college football, which now has a "transfer portal", allows fans to follow the Draft; to watch and be more knowledgeable about players they will see in the NFL... which is about as exploitive as any corporation.

Well, except for the Packers, who are downright socialists... or at least a a non-profit, community-owned organization.

But here's the fun part.....

The uneducated idiots in alabama....the same ones that voted for trump.....are crying for saban to resign after this loss.

They hate competence.

- crying for saban to resign

That's crazy...

As a Texan and native Southerner, I still can't understand the religious mania surrounding football. A ridiculous, brutal contest where the fattest knock the crap out of each other. Religious prayers start each game, imploring to Jesus that only football players are worthy of protection from injury. The whole Texas football thing is a pageant, an event of glitz; ridiculous girls dressed up as kewpie dolls, marching bands forced to sit for three hours and play a handful of songs, and people basically with nothing constructive to do with family or hobby. On top of it, Texans complain about taxes all year, every year but somehow find millions for football stadiums used 12 nights a year.

@e1g1 - Fake tribal warfare. It is a violent hobby with the cost of brain damage for the players. But tradition! I think humans are very good at making perverse traditions.

Traditions are peer pressure applied by dead people onto the living.
