Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Energy is so hard to come by right now that some provinces in China are rationing electricity, Europeans are paying sky-high prices for liquefied natural gas, power plants in India are on the verge of running out of coal, and the average price of a gallon of regular gasoline in the United States stood at $3.25 on Friday - up from $1.72 in April.

I posted an article on China's crisis last week. How much is green energy related and how much is COVID disruption is another thing. Be prepared to buckle up.

The fossil fuel industry is going to punish everyone for trying to transition to a carbon neutral future.

A couple of years ago we were energy independent and were a net exporter of energy.

Biden comes in and strangles energy production to every extent the federal government can.

Now he approves Nordstream and extends a tin cup to OPEC. The political left is so incredibly stupid.

No, you are. In fact, your insipid commentary is so laughable you don't even see what a fool you are.

#3 I must of missed where we nationalized our oil production. Oil goes to the highest bidder.

You know, capitolism and such.

Quick, let's invade somewhere. I'm sure that'll help.

Bellringer, you might try keeping up with the news rather than your political rants. It really makes you look stupid.

The price of oil determines our oil output from refineries. Oil companies wind in wells that are low producers when the prices are down, drilling stops. It has nothing to do with politics, it's economically driven. This in turn determines how much oil we are exporting, how much is sold here in the US, and what the price is for crude, which determines indirectly what the price for gas will be.

Where's the gold?

You're standing on it.
Gotta be worth it to get it.

I read somewhere that China cut off coal imports from Australia.... my guess is that's why Indias supply is dwindling fast now too.
Let's hope they work things out because China would probably enjoy a little "wag the dog" war to distract from their real estate collapse.

I know the Democrats pretend to hate Putin, but doubling the price of a barrel of oil under Biden is the best thing that could have happened for Russia/Putin.

Russia is basically a petro-state and Biden gave them Europe with the German NG line and doubled the price of oil making their southern fields economically viable again.

One would be hard pressed to find a bigger helping hand to Putin than what Biden has delivered.

There is a crisis because the US is no longer bringing democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq. Without the US circular firing squad, the Arabs and Pakistanis lost their cash cow.

Now China gets a turn... again.

Our future is with the Americas... like Mexico, Canada, and Venezuela.

The right pretends that isn't how it is because they are incredibly stupid along with greedy.

You know... human beings survived more time on this planet without using fossil fuels than using them.

GFY.

The sooner America can transition to wind/solar/hydro/geothermal the better.

Here in Okiehomie folks are complaining about gas at $2.75 per gallon, some of the lowest prices I've seen in recent travel. With so many in the oil and gas business (it's a third of the state's economy) these folks are complaining about their own self-interest. Of course, it's also coming into the windy season, and energy generated from our windmills covers more than a third of the state's energy needs.

To quote some politician, who was discussing at least one train of thought: "Blow, Baby, Blow!"

No. Not really. They wouldn't have to look any further than Trumpy and his deplorables who are all Putin puppies.

Micheal Flynn would gladly help them out. For a few hundred thousand dollars.

Or maybe Michael Cohen can arrange another Trump tower deal with pooty poot? That might help. He can ask his good buddy Dmitry Klokov if there is anything he can do.

Maybe Ivanka can architect it. She has all kinds of Russian contacts.

Or perhaps Araz Agalarov, Trump's former business associate, can help again because he is showing "great interest" in Trumpy's upcoming "bright electoral campaign."

Of course George Papadopoulos can talk with a professor and several Russians again about setting up a meeting between the Trump campaign and Putin to help him out again.

And naturally Paul Manafort will be more than willing to share polling data with Konstantin Kilimnik again!

And you can always count on Jeff Sessions and Jared Kushner to meet with the Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak and I am sure that will be helpful to Trumpy and pooty poo.

And the NRA can always arrange another yummy dinner meeting with Trumpy Jr and Alexander Torshin, a former Russian politician and senior official at Russia's central bank.

Or if you prefer we could have Trump Jr., Kushner and Manafort meet with Russians at Trump Tower in Manhattan again.

And don't forget Carter Page who has lots of friends in Russia.

If all else fails you can get Roger Stone to communicate with Guccifer 2.0, a persona created by Russian hackers and encourages WikiLeaks.

Because WE LOVE WIKILEAKS!!

And Russia ... if you are listening. We are still waiting for Hillary's emails.

"The right pretends that isn't how it is because they are incredibly stupid along with greedy."

And too dumb to read a f****g history book and learn about the Monroe Doctrine which has been my contention for many years. Our intersts are primarily our own hemisphere. Wars in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan do not serve our interests and are just opportunities to piss away American wealth with no upside for America.

The cl0wn brigade wants a war win like the Dems got with WW2. That big military industrialized war machine to make them richer. When they talk about making "America great again" that is the aftermath they are whining about.

Not gonna happen unless you are willing to vaporize half a million people in less than 10 minutes. Especially when vaporizing mass quantities of humans is a two-way street now.

That is why they are so hot to stop anyone else from having that ability... the fact is... we are waaaaaaaaaay past that one... the next nuke strike by anyone will not go unmet with another.

So now we just move from one circular firing squad to the next... making cripples, widows, orphans, corpses, and crazies. All the while patting ourselves on the back for a job undone.

The world is overpopulated. Natural resources are overtaxed. There is not enough basic goods and services to go around for all the people who need them. In a way, it seems like humanity is starting to shut down in the same way a human body begins to shut down when it is preparing to die.

Most of my energy needs are met with hydro power. The goods I want mostly get to me using diesel, with a little bit of gasoline for the last mile. Soon the delivery vans will go EV.

I want gasoline to go to $10 a gallon, that will reduce traffic.

It's hilarious that Trumpers think they have any room to talk.

You f&^%ing idiots are killing this country and think you have any credibility to speak again.

The US produced more energy than it consumed up until Jan 20 of this year. If you like paying more for gas and shortages, you voted for the right guy. WWJFUN? (What Will Joe F Up Next?) Hats are for sale on Amazon.
