I expect Trump to be dragged to court faster.

Ha Ha ---- HA!!

Andrew McCabe Got His Pension and His Cufflinks -- But Is that Adequate Recourse for the Country?

twitter.com

But McCabe won't get a concession that numerous people within the chain of command at DOJ and FBI, including prosecutors who pursued a false statements charge against McCabe, bowed to that improper political influence. Nor, as noted, will McCabe get discovery to learn what documents " besides proof that Bill Barr's DOJ altered McCabe's notes in an effort to undermine the Mike Flynn prosecution " DOJ was so determined to avoid disclosing that they settled this case. . . .

We know, from the fact that DOJ entered into this settlement (among other things), that Trump badly politicized DOJ. But this settlement allows DOJ to avoid coming clean about all that happened.

Any Trumpite want to congratulate the man for thwarting Trump's vengeful behavior towards him?

Of course not. Their model of a leader, their model of a president, is someone who spends his time looking for a pound of flesh.

Oops.

I mis-clicked initially. Hopefully my flag on #5 comes out as the newsworthy I intended.

Mr. McCabe should receive hazardous duty pay for all those years suffering through Trump's rein also.

"Mr. McCabe should receive hazardous duty pay"

Agreed.

Or, at the least, his legal expenses reimbursed.

Of course, he can never sue or collect for recompense for the wasted hours on this litigation.

McCabe lied multiple times under oath to congress. These lies were directly material to what congress was investigating. He ultimately gets rewarded for lying to congress.

Flynn is treated to a surprise interview by the FBI. He's assured that it's no big deal. They have transcripts of his phone calls to the Russian ambassador. They ask him questions about what was discussed - they didn't present parts of the transcript and ask for clarification, they simply asked questions about the conversations to see if he'd say anything different than what was said on the original call. This is known as a perjury trap. He had the book thrown at him and spent years draining his bank account and ultimately selling his house to pay his legal fees.

Lefties cheer both of these because consistency simply does not matter to leftist goons.

Hell, McCabe's lies were under oath, Flynn's weren't. McCabe wasn't even prosecuted, just fired. The DOJ isn't supposed to be political.

"The DOJ isn't supposed to be political."

Oh, the irony:

Andrew G. McCabe, the former deputy F.B.I. director and a frequent target of President Trump's, will not face charges in an investigation into whether he lied to investigators about a media leak, his defense team said on Friday.

The decision by prosecutors in Washington ends a case that had left Mr. McCabe in legal limbo for nearly two years. It also appears to be a sign that Attorney General William P. Barr wants to show that the Justice Department is independent from the president: The notification came a day after Mr. Barr publicly challenged Mr. Trump to stop attacking law enforcement officials on Twitter and said the criticisms were making his job more difficult.

"McCabe lied multiple times under oath to congress. These lies were directly material to what congress was investigating. He ultimately gets rewarded for lying to congress."

That's your spin. Here's another perspective:

The investigation into Mr. McCabe grew out of findings from the Justice Department inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz. He faulted Mr. McCabe in 2018 for misleading investigators when asked about the disclosure of information in 2016 to a Wall Street Journal reporter about an investigation into the Clinton Foundation. . . .

A key witness testified that Mr. McCabe had no motive to lie because he was authorized as the F.B.I.'s deputy director to speak to the news media, so he would not have had to hide any discussions with reporters. Another important witness testified he could not immediately remember how the leak unfolded. Both would have been crucial to any prosecution.

Additionally, people who are charged with lying to the F.B.I. are typically accused of committing the offense in the course of a criminal investigation, not an administrative inquiry. For example, Mr. Horowitz determined last year that a senior Justice Department official committed wrongdoing by viewing pornography on his work computers and then providing false statements to investigators, but prosecutors declined to bring charges.

Mr. McCabe's lawyers made the case to Mr. Rosen that other former officials were not prosecuted after they were caught lying to the inspector general's investigators.

Either McCabe lied or Comey lied - but, because our federal justice system doesn't work, neither one will be punished. As I have zero faith honor can be restored, they need to be disbanded.

In 2022 or 2024 when the GOP retakes power, if they decide to expedite prosecutions against the Russia Hoax traitors (Brennan, Clapper, Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Hillary, Schiff, Fartman), I will be all for it. They need to face justice so this never happens again.

The Dems love to inflate 1/6 as an insurrection - no, it is a riot. The actions of those listed above to overturn an elect was an unsuccessful coup. They should be tried as traitors.

I don't know why I bother because seriously I'd rather just shoot you qtards anymore than listen or read this crap. But I will respond with words. This time.

By attempting to downplay the Jan 6th insurrection you have shown your true intentions and true colors and really who the real traitors are comrade.

It's sad to see the GOP degenerate into a bunch of conspiracy spouting trumptards that take their talking points from Vladimir Putin. We need two strong parties to make America strong.

But what we have is one paralyzed with fear like a deer in the headlights. And the other has been infested with anti-science qtards and Nazi white supremacists that has turned into a Death Cult.

The Trumpy party was responsible for the incompetent American response to a global pandemic that has killed nearly a million Americans. And you call the Dems traitors? And then because trumpy lost the election and can't handle the truth you morons decided to attack the Capital and attempt to overthrow democracy in an insane attempt to keep an insane Trumpy in power? And you have the nerve to call Dems traitors?

All I can say to that is ...

GFY insurrectionist. Many have already suffered or paid the ultimate price for your hate and ignorance and history won't and shouldn't be kind to trumpism or Trumpy and his deplorables.

Please don't start a civil war and make me shoot your dumb asses.

Plz don't throw me into that briar patch.

Thx

"By attempting to downplay the Jan 6th insurrection you have shown your true intentions and true colors and really who the real traitors are comrade."

You call it an insurrection but:
1.) even the incompetent intelligence services have stated it was not organized
2.) no one has been charged with insurrection - they are charged with trespassing
3.) you had your own environmental whackos do the same this THIS WEEK - overrunning a police barricade into a federal building
4.) no one, not even the other braindead libs actually believe the narrative. This is kabuki theater for the terminally stupid

"The Trumpy party was responsible for the incompetent American response to a global pandemic that has killed nearly a million Americans."

Biden has almost caught up to Trump's total despite having 3 vaccines and full knowledge of covid - he is flooding with borders with new Biden-covid variants as I type this.

"And you call the Dems traitors?"

Because that is what they are. The Russia narrative was invented out of whole cloth in an attempt to oust Trump from power. They should get their necks stretched for that.

Almost caught up... so Biden is negative then?
Because Trump's total is zero, according to Trump:

"I don't take responsibility at all."

But they're gonna be arrested and jailed anyway!

His investigation is not over, it is too slow moving which is my point. In 2022, I hope the GOP goes full on Schiff level psycho in finally investigating the people that invented Russia Collusion nonsense. That includes the Never Trumpers and the Hillary campaign and all of the intelligence community they enlisted to push the narrative. I want charges filed and every one of them personally bankrupted exactly like what happened to Roger Stone or General Flynn - only then will we have equal justice under the law.

"His investigation is not over, it is too slow moving which is my point."

It's moot: it was conceived to affect the 2020 elections.

"In 2022, I hope the GOP goes full on Schiff level psycho in finally investigating the people that invented Russia Collusion nonsense."

100+ lies from Team Trump, 100+ contacts by 17 members of the campaign. If there was no collusion, it wasn't for lack of trying,

"That includes the Never Trumpers and the Hillary campaign..."

Of course. All the people you would've jailed by now, if you had the proof or the power.

"...and all of the intelligence community they enlisted..."

So this boils down to the ludicrous contention the FBI should've stopped surveilling Russians as soon as Trump campaign operatives came into the room.

"I want charges filed and every one of them personally bankrupted exactly like what happened to Roger Stone or General Flynn"

Neither were personally bankrupted.
