It's normal and proper to put scofflaws in jail

Not sure where all of this is heading. All Bannon has to do is stonewall until the last minute, then show up and take the fifth, and if they offer him immunity he can confess to pretty much anything and never be convicted in anyone's court. So, if he doesn't want to testify now, or go to jail later I suspect he is fine. He may, however, want the martyr status as it will put millions into his bank account.
Now, ask the question: Will trump ever go to jail?
Me, I have strong doubts of that ever happening.
If he runs again he will gain functional immunity.
Jon Stewart will be battling him head to head for years, I suspect.

#7 | Posted by Hughmass at 2021-10-15 08:03 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

Oliver North was able to get the charges against him tossed because he'd received partial immunity from Congress.

"Find someone else to torture."

Torture? Hardly. FYI Bannon likes the attention. Plus, in addition to raising his profile and his street cred among his right-wing followers, he's got one more thing to rant and rave about.

You don't even know what Chelsea was accused of in the first place dummy! Now go google it so you can respond as if you already knew. You don't and you know you don't. Chelsea Manning isn't really a real person to you, she is just on name on your list of talking points that your repeat without knowing anythig about them.

Pardoned for which crimes? Oh ya - for defrauding schmucks sending him money for the border wall. (Don't forget a pardon means admitting guilt...) So since he was pardoned for that crime he can talk about it freely and is expected to if called to testify about it and is in fact legally obligated to do so.

But he isn't being called to testify about the fraud of the border wall. He is called to testify about the January 6 insurgency. Seems he has committed unrelated crimes quite possibly but is currently defying a subpoena to talk about Jan 6.

So when will you quit defending schmucks like this who view you and others like you as ignorant little playthings to be manipulated in order get what they want for their true benefactors?

Why not throw some MLK quotes in there too?
"In the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear?" --MLK

You tell us. What did America fail to hear, that had your ilk attacking The Capitol on Jan 6?

Crimes? Minor vandalism and trespassing during a mostly peaceful protest. Most Americans see this as the Democrats making a mountain out of a molehill. I see it as criminalising the political opposition.

You are going to have to do a whole lot better than that in trying to trivialize the crimes committed on January 6.

I also note you have not yet answered my question to you in #27, "But to your comment, exactly what political dissent is being punished here?"

So I'll try again...

What political dissent do you think is being punished here?

Most americans saw your cult attacking cops with chemical weapons, beating them with american flags, and crushing them in doorways.

You calling it a molehill only proves you're part of the cult who agreed with these fascist terrorists.

Probably true.

Eberly hasn't been around in a while.

But. He would be the first to speak up and say he doesn't see the big deal about 1/6.

Definitely didn't bother him as much as 9/11.

Planes flying into a building are scary. But if 9/11 failed and all 4 planes crashed in deserted fields, wouldn't be a big deal.

Just like the failed insurrection isn't a big deal. But a successful one would have been.

Minor vandalism and tresspassing....lol...you act like they walked thru a fenced yard in suburbia. Tossed some lawn furniture and stopped on some flowers.

It was the CAPITOL!!!!

I hate playing this card, but just imagine the reaction if Obama had done the same exact thing.

Think CNN would call him out?

The only thing I'll say, playing devil's advocate, is there have been others who have ignored such, including Eric Holder and Janet Reno both under Dem rule.

And I get that Bannon is a POS in comparison.....but the Dems do this and it sets off revenge the next time....

I'm willing to trade democrats prosecuting republicans for real crimes in exchange for republicans attempting to prosecture democrats for made up fantasies.

Hillary testified under oath in front of hostile republicans for 11 hours and they couldnt get anything on her.

Trump wouldn't do that for 11 seconds because he'd either confess a crime or commit perjury.

#44 | Posted by SpeakSoftly at 2021-10-15 05:40 PM | Reply

I see one of the Ruskie troll farmer comrades is spouting off about "minor vandalism" that happened at the capital on January 6th.

So 1 million dollars in property damage, 7 deaths, and 140+ police officers hurt is now "minor vandalism"??? GTFO!

These are the same troglodytes losing their ---- when the police were being protested and some damage was done (mainly by Proud boys posing as BLM protesters).

Ruskie Trumpists are reaching new lows.

I'd like to see an itemized list of the "million dollars in damages". Only one person died directly due the kerfuffle and she was an unarmed participant in murder by cop.
