While congressional Democrats negotiate within their ranks over the "Build Back Better" plan, the public is more likely to have heard about what it would cost than about the specific policies that would be in it.

...Despite the popularity, in principle, of these program ideas, some of the very popular ones " like expanded Medicare coverage and lowered prescription costs " are among the least heard about....

Where's this librul media I keep hearing about? If the media was really so liberal they would be shouting out the contents of the billng, not harping about it's cost. I call BS on the liberal media nonsense. They are sandbagging the bill and Biden's agenda.

Of course it is. The Dems fail every time because they never never NEVER learn the lesson that messaging and appearance are 99% of the time more important than the content of the bill.

I suppose it could be that the procorporate media has a vested interest in nothing substantively changing. The media's owners know this stuff would be overwhelmingly popular. That's why you will never get an honest debate about the plan. That's why you never hear about how overwhelmingly popular programs like it are throughout the rest of the industrialized world. It would be bad for profits. Which are more important than people in this messed-up country.

#2 the media can be left leaning, incompetent in pushing a pro left narrative, and competent at ignoring the lefts misteps.
