I was up in the Bay Area this weekend...North of SF, there was a ton of flooding and I've never seen the Bay water level that high before (in 25 years). On the plus side, this bomb cyclone is going to fill up some mighty dry reservoirs, but we're still in a decades long drought...

Pretty sure rain doesn't affect the tides, but there ya go.

#3 - no, but low barometric pressure associated with large storms does. It's called "storm surge". Google it for more details.

Says the guy who had to be told that storm surge can affect water levels in the San Francisco Bay. LOL

You're such a one trick pony, dude. There's more to life than trolling anonymous people on a blog with drive by schoolyard taunts. In your case, an education would be a great alternative.

Bill Gates?
Steve Jobs?
Jeff Bezos?
Elon Musk?

Dropouts are pretty much running the world.

Besides, you don't need much of an education for weather observation. Look outside and Farmers Almanac can fill in the details.

The storm surge from the cyclone raised the water level in the Bay, and the surrounding creeks and rivers inland were flooding. It was wild.

I could've been more clear about that. I wasn't implying that flooding caused the Bay to rise. I understand how tides work, though.
