So reading the article it's basically for fashion jeans not work jeans. I need the durability and couldn't care less about the "look" of denim. They aren't real denim they are jean colored on regular fabric so I would destroy them in a couple months. I'm all for more environmental processes but if I lose durability then I suspect the environmental impact of tossing a pair every couple months outweighs the impact of one pair that lasts 2 years.

I hope this technology will help rid the world of dad jeans, mom jeans and those torn-up jeans that all look like they were pulled from a dumpster...
