Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

She was supposed to be the one-term president's successor. The vice president who would take the torch from a by-then-80-something Joe Biden and carry on the administration's agenda while becoming the first woman and the first woman of color to capture the White House as the nation's 47th president. But as things stand now, one has to wonder how Kamala Harris even remains on the ticket in 2024, regardless of who the nominee might be. A USA Today-Suffolk University poll finds that just 28 percent of voters " less than 3 in 10 " approve of the job Harris is doing. For context, that's 10 points below her boss (38 percent approve, 59 percent disapprove). For more context, Harris was at 46 percent approval and 40 percent disapproval upon entering office, per USA Today-Suffolk.

The only poll that counts is the one at the ballot box

And you lost that poll, to an unpopular girl

So we're predicting the next 3 years? How about something we can really use, like the lottery numbers?

Honestly, I don't know how anyone right or left can support her. She lies pathologically like Trump, about things there's not even a reason to lie about. A prosecutor who laughed about doing the very same drugs she ruined who knows how many other minorities lives over. Someone so amoral and unprincipled she can claim to believe Biden's accusers and (rightly) call out his racism, then immediately grab onto his coattails for the sake of ambition. It's not just the lies I mentioned earlier, either. There's something about her I can't quite put my finger on to label, but she truly reminds me of a female Trump, even if from completely across the aisle. We're well past due a woman president, but not that one.

I've said many times before Val Demings would have been a better choice, but we got VP Harris instead and I wish her success.

No, she will be the one, either from succession by the death of the ageing president, or being outright elected. The Democratic party is now all about identity politics. They want to continue this course. They got the first black president, now they want to take credit for the first female president. Why do you think they kept shoving "damaged goods" Hillary to the forefront? A woman so damaged, she couldn't beat the biggest loser ever to run for president?

After Kamala's 8-11 years in office the Democratic party will undoubtedly try to seat the first Hispanic or gay president -- depending on which way the wing blows in 2032 or 2036.

A Trump supporter stating that the Dems are the ones who are all about 'Identity Politics" is laughable. Look in the mirror dude.
