So this talking point for Trumpers will die soon, and prices will soon start dropping, as more supply meets and surpasses demand.

A friend has an import business of considerable size. A couple of days ago she told me the dockworkers at a west coast port told her it would be an additional $50,000 each to move her containers that're already on shore with $30,000 of goods inside each container. She said it felt like a shakedown. Guess they're getting away with it with the backup/glut and all.

The solution will be a long time in coming, because it will require more and better highway and rail line access to and from the ports in SoCal. There is plenty of land out in the Inland Empire to store, sort and transport away all those containers, but getting them out to Redlands, Riverside or San Berdoo is a very heavy lift ----------- for it--infrastructure...
