#10 | POSTED BY LFTHNDTHRDS

Nope, wrong. Criticism of President Obama was, generally speaking, negative (by certain people), based on irrelevant issues (tan suit anyone?) and not based on the content of his character. Thus, unlike Zed's actions, judgement was based on the color of his skin and NOT the content of his character. Of course, the racists were also cowards so they couldn't speak as directly as the subject of the article does. I guess we have come a long way since 2016

Compare that to criticism of -------, where the content of his character is equivalent to the dregs of a septic tank, thus legitimately the "man" is judged harshly.

#13 | Posted by truthhurts at 2021-11-21 11:39 AM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

If being labeled a racist is something you can't shake, isn't the most logical explanation for why you can't shake it, is that you're a racist?

For example people tell me I hate America. I shake that off because I was a military contractor and later workes directly for DOD.

You should be able to find an affirmative defense along those lines when people say you're racist.

And if you can't, well then...

Hahahah!

The reason it's racist is because the same criticism could be thrown at anyone... but they only get launched at Obama, and only by racists.

Birther is about as openly racist as thinly-veiled racism can get! The operating principle is Obama can't really be "one of us."

Questioning where he was born is stupid but not racist. Hell, even his own publicist touted that he was born in Kenya. Birtherism was a thing because partisans wanted to make the case that if he wasn't born in the US (he was born in Hawaii) then he couldn't be president according to the Constitution. Birtherism was actually started by the Hillary Clinton campaign during the primary. I don't see Republicans making the case that Nikki Haley is an inferior person because of her Indian descent.

Bill Clinton had Vince Foster killed. That's what partisans have been saying. What about that thing Hillary had going on in the basement of a pizza parlor?

Meanwhile.

Conservatives will literally get in their confederate flag draped pick up truck with shot guns in hand to chase down a black guy and murder him for being black.

Or they'll stalk black kids until they get the opportunity to murder them.

Or they'll pass laws to make it harder for them to vote, buy houses, get loans, get jobs, get an education, get a fair shot at life.

Or they'll pretend CRT is the same as teaching American history.

Or they'll pretend Birtherism was just politics as usual.

He said that a gay man once asked him: "So, you think your wife and you - you think your heterosexual relationship is superior to my husband and my homosexual relationship?"

This conversation only occurred in his imagination.

But, it's interesting he felt he needed to share what a "superior relationship" he has with his wife.

Statements like this usually result in a divorce popping up in a year or two.

Having a healthy relationship with your partner is all that matters.

Do you enjoy each other's company? Being alone together? Spending time together? Being naked together?

That's all that matters.

Has nothing to do with sexual preferences.

Only sad, pathetic people believe nonsense like this.

Hopefully it helps them feel better about themselves.

And now, instead of defending Birtherism like you once did, you now proclaim the hoax you once believed isn't in any way fueled by racial animus.

First you deny Obama is an American.
Then you deny that denying Obama is an American is driven by White America's steadfast refusal to accept a Black President.

We've read this script before.

Two...When did "Johnnie did it first" return to being a good excuse? It stopped around the age of three...but at what age does it again become a good excuse for bad behavior? Be specific.

news.yahoo.com
During the 2008 campaign, questions about John McCain's birth in the Panama Canal Zone on a U.S. military base prompted some to ask whether McCain was eligible to be president, since the Constitution stipulates that anyone not born in the United States is not eligible to be president.

Amid a flurry of news reports, McCain's own campaign announced in February 2008 that it was conducting an investigation. When a bipartisan pair of lawyers announced the following month that McCain was indeed eligible, the issue virtually died--apart from a Senate resolution that pretty much laid the question to rest by attesting to the facts surrounding McCain's birth and citizenship.

But the winner of the 2008 election, Barack Obama, has faced a relentless campaign questioning his U.S. citizenship--and thereby the legitimacy of his presidency--that has disregarded the facts.

Obama was very much authoritarian. He weaponized the powers of the state against his political enemies. Granted, he wasn't the first to do so and certainly won't be the last. He just happened to be more flagrant about it than his more immediate predecessors and his most immediate successor.

We enjoy freedom because a bunch of rebels fought off a strong military hundreds of years ago.

We enjoy security because we are geographically isolated and have nukes. Once you have nukes, all the other toys are just a waste of money.

I don't owe a thing to any sucker who was dumb or desperate enough to enlist in my lifetime. In fact their enlisting only further encouraged the military to do more stupid stuff. If no one enlisted and the military had to draft soldiers, we'd have a lot less conflicts.
