I'm surprised that fmr Pres Trump can still find lawyers to represent him, given his [non-]payment history. Or perhaps the only reason these current lawyers are willing to represent him is due to someone else paying the bills?

If the latter, why would the RNC foot the bills?

Not only does Trump not pay is lawyers, they could end-up having to pay to settle the cases that they were hired to handle, such as this group:

Lawyers Who Challenged 2020 Election Ordered To Pay $187,000 Legal Fees

A federal judge called their lawsuit claiming the election was stolen from Donald Trump "an abuse of the legal system."

And where's the $100+ million that Trump has raised through his PAC's, which ostensibly was donated by his followers to defray the legal costs that Trump has been hit with since the election?

This could be good news for Dem candidates for office. Since the GOP is burning cash in support of a Dotard who cannot avoid getting sued, there will be less for GOP candidates to spend on their campaigns. Thanks, Donny Fail ...

Paying someone's personal legal fees is reportable income to the IRS.

Why isn't the so called billionaire paying his own legal fees?
