Thoroughbred horses, auto racing, massive ranches, luxury hotels. The hobbies and side businesses of the ultrawealthy create huge write-offs that can let them get away with paying little or no income tax for as much as a decade at a time.

Well,

Stop all deductions then. Flat tax. Percentage of salary and income. One rate for everyone. That's fair.

But that wont happen. No one wants to pay their fair share.

Liberals, much like this article, is just full of jealousy and envy.

"That's fair."

Not really.
Fair is expecting people who can pull more weight to pull more weight.

You and that flat tax balderdash. The stupid it just reeks

#1 Nah, you -------- on the right just don't want to make it actually fair by including a progressive tax credit or UBI to offset the obviously regressive nature of a flat rate tax.

Also it should be on the consumption side, not the earnings side. We don't need anymore balding space nerds paying themselves $0 salaries on paper just to offshore their wealth.

@# ... Stop all deductions then. Flat tax. Percentage of salary and income. One rate for everyone. That's fair. ...

Is it fair?

Should those who pay 100$% of their earnings for food and housing be taxed at the same rate as those who pay 0.10% of their earnings for food and housing?

Why should those who earn their income off the backs of those who have to actually work to feed and house their families be taxed at the same rate as those they exploit?

Your dislike of liberals seems to be shielding you from the reality. But that is not really a surprise to you, is it?

While you may be envious of those who enjoy a lifestyle you cannot afford, that does not negate the issue at hand.

Those who profit off of using people should pay more for the ability to profit off of others.

See it's really simple.

If you take off your glasses of envy, your might even see it.

Jus' sayin'

" Stop all deductions then."

You don't know what you're talking about.

Eliminating deductions would shutter half the businesses in America. Is that your plan?

So if the left is so outraged about this why won't they change it while the have total control? Maybe it's because they aren't so outraged.

The left is raising taxes on the rich. Your cult keeps cutting them. Why is that?

So Republicans can whine about the deficits and debt they created when they're out of power.
