Kayleigh talked about the alternate slates of electors on Hannity in Dec 17, 2020:

Kayleigh says the litigation is ongoing and says in four states there has been "alternate slate of electors voted upon that congress will decide in January"

In 2016 I remember a huge push to pressure the electors to defy their vote counts and give the election to Clinton. If memory serves a couple of them complied but the rest took their responsibility seriously.

Not surprisingly, you are wrong.

In 2016, electors were trying to get the DULY ELECTED electors to change their votes from ------- to someone else-something constitutionally permitted but obviously against precedent.

------- submitted fraudulent alternative slates of electors whose intent was to replace the duly elected electors.

This is a HUGE story with enormous ramifications.
These same documents, word for word, were sent out to 5 other States, and Republicans in those states all affixed their names to these fraudulent documents declaring they were the electors. They were not. This group even sent it into the National Archives! The Nat' Archives sent it back to the right people in the State and said "uh, you might want to look at this..."

This indicates a coordinated conspiracy to overthrow the government of the United States and to interfere with the peaceful transition of power.

Not one of these people should be in Government, and they all should be banned for life from politics and from office.

The entire point of Electors is to prevent a madman becoming President.

That's their serious responsibility.

Otherwise we'd just tally each state's votes and call it done.

2016 showed that the Electoral College has become politicized just like everything else that's rotten about America.

Unless of course you think Trump was fit to be President.

You claim to hate the guy, but I doubt you'll really put your money where your mouth is!

In the meantime we have this quite real attempt to overthrow the legitimately elected government of the United States. A fully coordinated effort done by, it appears, the "former guy"'s "lawyer" and others.

Absolutely stunning in depravity and corruption. Literally and provably "irredeemably corrupt" in every sense of the word. To their CORE.

No wonder you're projecting. Again.

And you can't refute what I said - at all. Not one bit. All you can do is put your fingers in your ears and say "lalalalalala" and repeat your aspersions. It's so repetitious, tedious, boring, and predictable.

Again, what do you think of this coordinated attempt to overthrow the LEGITIMATELY and LEGALLY elected PRESIDENT of the United States? Are you going to keep diverting because you can't face the TRUTH? That it is your party that is corrupt to its core? Is that why you have to keep bringing up Hillary Clinton?

Are these people that acted in this corrupt? Do they deserve to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of law? Should they be allowed to retain their seats in their State Legislature? Should they be allowed to stay involved in politics?

#27 I'm a policy guy. That is what I care most about. Our last 2 presidents cultivated personality cults. It's stupid.

I was mocking her electability. In 2008 she lost her primary to a not well known upstart. In 2016 she managed to lose to Trump. She's dreadful on the campaign trail, to the extent she actually campaigns and her speeches are the equivalent of listening to someone drag their nails across a chalkboard.

You're memory does not serve you and your deflection has nothing to do with the illegal coordinated effort across 7 states to forge government documents.

What you are talking is faithless electors which is legal and constitutional. There were 7 faithless electors in 2016. 5 who should have cast their votes for Clinton and 2 for Trump. All 5 cast their votes for candidates who were not on the ballot. I believe several voted for Colin Powell.

So please tell us what you think about the GOP forging fake election results and submitting them to the national archives.

If she was going to prosecute clear violations of state law she would have done so already instead of claiming it's someone else's job. It's clear that as an AG up for re-election in a 50/50 state she has no interest in "looking political" and subjecting herself to bad faith rightwing attacks.

Interesting when you start looking at the "alternate" sets of electors as a part of a conspiracy to commit forgery and fraud to obstruct an official proceeding, rather than just crazy talk on Fox.

#49 - he knew all about it, and/or he was part of it. Now we know why all the documents from all those different states all were identical. There's no shrugging this off or pretending this wasn't a full blown conspiracy to steal the vote from the people of the United States. The entire "Stop the Steal" was classic Republican projection. They were the ones doing doing all the could to steal the election.

The apparent coordination among the five states involved gave me pause.

Who or what entity was doing the coordinating?

@#51 ... Who or what entity was doing the coordinating? ...

The five states, so far, that submitted forged electoral documents: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin ( www.americanoversight.org )

Bernard Kerik provides batch of documents to Jan. 6 select committee
finance.yahoo.com

...A key adviser to Donald Trump's legal team in their post-election quest to unearth evidence of fraud has delivered a trove of documents to Jan. 6 investigators describing those efforts.

Bernard Kerik, the former New York City Police commissioner and ally of Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, also provided a "privilege log" describing materials he declined to provide to the committee....

Another 22-page document, titled "STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS PLAN - GIULIANI PRESIDENTIAL LEGAL DEFENSE TEAM," describes a 10-day blitz aimed at Republican House and Senate members to pressure them to vote against certifying the 2020 election results. The effort was focused, according to the document, on six swing states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

The document says its primary channels to disseminate messaging on these efforts included "presidential tweets" as well as talk radio, conservative bloggers, social media influencers, Trump campaign volunteers and other media allies. A list of "key team members" supporting the effort included "Freedom Caucus Members" -- a reference to the group of hardline House conservatives, some of whom backed Trump's effort to overturn the election....

[emphasis mine]

Well, that's a curious overlap in states.

These actions are a perfect example of why you should be fearful of the election, and its results, in 2024.

People like this are being installed in positions of power at the state level to basically, how do I say this, make --- up.

In 2020, Trump tried his unpatriotic best to overthrow the election with ZERO evidence. In 2024, he'll have a lot more help.

It is pretty damned evident,
given the multiple articles from
multiple newspapers and cities

officials and citizens cheating
and/or 'bending the rules', that the
modern day GOP has pretty much thrown out the rulebook on fair elections, and it's
pretty much 'do anything it takes to win'...
