There's no serious path forward in the Senate right now for Democrats' calls to codify abortion rights. Many in the party want to try anyway.

... There's no serious path forward in the Senate right now ...

Says it all.

The Democrats were trounced as they contemplated their navels.

"Defund the police" --- wow, the Democrats blew it big time with that mantra.

They lost sight of their strategy because of a tactical issue. So sad.

And now they are paying for it.

Big time.

How come when nearly EVERY contentious issue comes up, we hear the same democratic theme: "There's no serious path forward.."

on gun control
on voting rights
on impeachment
on 1/6
on SC nominees

Again, 80% of Americans support the right to choose. If you can't win that argument, it is time to give up politics.

Parts of America will soon have more restrictive abortion that the Taliban. Think on that.

Oh, pick me, pick me....

Because the Democrats are self-destructively unable to put together any manner of simple message that explains what they favor.

Instead the Democrats have consistently allow the Republicans to define what the Democrats stand for in the campaigns.

For example, 2020 - defund the police.

The Democrats are not going to find the answers they need in their navels, so they should stop looking there for solutions.

Two Tribes Lyrics

...
When two tribes go to war
A point is all that you can score
Score no more! Score no more!
When two tribes go to war
A point is all that you can score
...

(from the extended mix version....)

...
Mine is the last voice that you will ever hear.
Don't be alarmed.

Woof, they don't write lyrics like that anymore...

Tomorrow, Chuck Shumer should have a press conference where he takes note of Collins' and Murkowskis' distress at this ruling and ask them to join the Democrats for a filibuster carve out specifically for choice. And then on a vote for choice itself. We won't need Manchin or Senema.
This would call their bluff.
From what I've read, they already have the bill.

"Again, 80% of Americans support the right to choose." In many states, a political party can control 60%+ of the political jobs with less than 50% of the vote. Warped districts are how we got here. The R's pretend like they are numerous but they are just loud and stupid.

Dems have no teeth anymore. They have become the Washington Generals. Opposition only on paper. Maybe it's time to nuke the party and rebuild with a younger crop.

I suspect that there are going to be some bitter battles at the family dinner tables of fundamentalist Republican Party members with teenage girls. They will, sooner or later, understand that daddy or mommy want to take away their reproductive rights, though if rich I have little doubt the right to abortion is going to always be an option.

The Republican rich and upper-middle class will always have abortions. They'll just lie about it, just as in the Good Old Days.

Banning abortion is the Talibaptists way of keeping poor women, especially black and brown women, in their place. The goal is to keep them poor, to block their chance for a better life by making education ridiculously expensive, weigh them down with debt and unwanted children. The Talibaptists are all in for the supremacy of white males at the cost of everybody else.

Here is the absolutely most funniest thing about Liberal hypocrisy on this topic. Science says, and is considered absolute, that gender is determined at conception (chromosomes and such). Which means halfish of all fetus's aborted are female. Which means the whole argument of "My body, my choice" for women is actually taking away "my body, my choice" from females who are aborted.

I'm pro-choice and even I understand this flawed thinking.

You're so wrong that you don't even realize you're lying!
