I dunno, I can't put my finger on it but something seems a bit off.

Original headline: Doctor Who to detransition, become a man again

It should be really interesting now when Doctor Who fans go cosplaying at Doctor Who conventions...

Why because now they have a white and black man, and a white and black woman to choose from? I'll still go as the fourth doctor but it's nice that people will have a choice. Freedom of choice is pretty awesome isn't it.

"There aren't quite the words to describe how I'm feeling. A mix of deeply honoured, beyond excited and of course a little bit scared. This role and show means so much to so many around the world, including myself, and each one of my incredibly talented predecessors has handled that unique responsibility and privilege with the utmost care. I will endeavour my upmost to do the same. Russell T Davies is almost as iconic as the Doctor himself and being able to work with him is a dream come true. His writing is dynamic, exciting, incredibly intelligent and fizzing with danger. An actor's metaphorical playground. The entire team have been so welcoming and truly give their hearts to the show. And so as much as it's daunting, I'm aware I'm joining a really supportive family. Unlike the Doctor, I may only have one heart but I am giving it all to this show."

At least this actor is approaching the role with some deference to how big it is and how its history means a lot to many people. A huge contrast from his predecessor, who didn't care about the show's past and was relieved when the producer gave her permission to not research the role.

Good riddance to J-W (Jodie Whittaker).

#6 - there might be teensy bit of friction when the lighter skinned kids dress up as darker skinned Doctors...

Because lord knows it cant be a white male.

It's a woman's turn. Followed by a black guy. Followed by a native american trangender person. Followed by a monkey who knows sign language...

That's the way to win white people back and stop making them feel your side doesn't hate them.

No, but you missed a really great show from 1963-2010.

Nina Gordon - Tonight And The Rest Of My Life

Lyrics
www.azlyrics.com

...
Down to the earth I fell
With dripping wings
Heavy things won't fly
And the sky might catch on fire
And burn the axis of the world
That's why I prefer a sunless sky
To the glittering and stinging in my eyes

[Chorus:]
I feel so light
This is all I want to feel tonight
I feel so light
Tonight and the rest of my life
...

The only Dr worth a damn was Tom Baker. The rest stink.

I could not watch this last doctor. It was too heavy-handed and the actress was boring and looks like a gnome. With this better writer and a new kid, I hope they can bring the fun back.

My favorite, too.

Given the crew that made this last series, I wouldn't have been surprised if the new Doctor were Kim Kardashian.

I wonder if they'll do a story set in Rwanda. Or is it too soon?
