#17 Grandiose much. "Live as slaves, or die in the pursuit of freedom". Yeah right. Die in the pursuit of oligarch enrichment. Die in pursuit of a Nazi paradise without Russian speakers. Die for the freedom to oppress their own people.
This is a war between two ------- countries. Not a Manichian war of good and evil.
That's the whole problem. The propaganda around this is greater than any I've seen in my lifetime. Iraq? Small potatoes. Even the "War on Terror",took a backseat to the hysteria I've seen around this.
Why?
Ukraine is NOT a core US interest. I believe direct military involvement by the US, and or, possibly NATO is coming.
It's stupid and unnecessary. If the Europeans want this war they can have it.
I doubt they have the balls to go at it,without US backing.
Plutonium has a very long half life. 200,000 years or more.
Is "plucky freedom loving Ukraine" worth nuclear winter?
Is any one state worth that?
Why push our luck? First, "Putin is insane". Then, "there's nothing to fear, he's a paper tiger about nukes". Which is it?
The narrative just keeps building toward open war with Russia.
Will Congress even bother to vote on a declaration of war?
Or is an Authorization of Military Force for Biden all they have the stomach for?
Gee, I wonder?
