New Bill Binding Supreme Court Judges to Ethics Code

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts) and Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Washington) introduced a bill on Tuesday that would ban federal judges from trading individual stocks to avoid conflicts of interest and tighten restrictions on gifts they can receive and privately funded events they can attend.

Maybe, seriously, it is time to do away with the Supreme Court. It has lost all credibility as a non-partisan entity. Nobody seriously believes most of the people on the court, such as Thomas or Kavanaugh, are moral, ethical or even decent people. Just political hacks. If the Supreme Court is going to continue to be a political body, then it should be an elected position where Justices must win the popular vote of national elections. At least then all pretense of them somehow being above politics would be flushed down the toilet.
