Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul defied leaders of both parties Thursday and single-handedly delayed until next week Senate approval of an additional $40 billion to help Ukraine and its allies withstand Russia's three-month old invasion. With the Senate poised to debate and vote on the package of military and economic aid, Paul denied leaders the unanimous agreement they needed to proceed. The bipartisan measure, backed by President Joe Biden, underscores U.S. determination to reinforce its support for Ukraine's outnumbered forces.

"No matter how sympathetic the cause, my oath of office is to the national security of the United States of America," Paul said. "We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the U.S. economy." [...] the bill's spending is less than two-tenths of 1% the size of the U.S. economy.

Paul's corruption couldn't be any more obvious.

No money for Nazis. They can get better jobs.

We have needs here. Rand Paul is a turd but he's right about this. Forty billion for a proxy war. But no money for healthcare, or other pressing needs here? Seems like both parties have missplaced priorities.

The Ukraine will have to soldier on a little longer without more money for the leadership to steal.

"Forty billion for a proxy war. But no money for healthcare"

STFU. Rand didn't GAF about $2 Trillion. He wasn't going to do healthcare, ever.

Forty billion for a proxy war. #2 | Posted by PootyFluffer

Sure, that sounds expensive, but that's only $370K per Russian military casualty. Not to mention all of the pop-top Russian tanks.

Economies of scale suggest it'll only get cheaper as Pootey starts drafting conscripts who don't know which end of a rifle to point at their own officers. What a bargain!

No that wasn't a question, that was a statement - "No money for healthcare"

Period, full stop.

But no money for healthcare

It's cute that you think the GQP is going to do anything to help anyone outside of the top 1%. Just one of the myriad of things you are constantly wrong about.

Rand didn't GAF about $2 Trillion.

The only thing Randy cares about is the $$$ he collects from Russia through the NRA or directly from Pootey when he makes his pilgrimages over there to get his marching orders.
