The leak isn't the problem, Clarence. Check the mirror.

Thomas said during an event hosted by the American Enterprise Institute, the Manhattan Institute and the Hoover Institution in Dallas.

Too scared to say it directly to his wife?

Clarence Thomas is a justice who shows true fealty to the Constitution. He's severed admirably.

Ah... he Justice Thomas just played his hand with his comment about where the country is going. These extremists all think the county is about to burn. Meanwhile, on an average day, we all live just fine. Morons.

Clarence Thomas Says Roe Draft Leak Has Eroded Trust of the Court

Given the extreme politicization of the process to approve a justice of the supreme court, I am surprised that there is any trust left in the court. It will take a fundamental change in the process of approving justices before Americans regain their trust in the court.

Supreme Court justices should be randomly chosen each term from long serving appellate court judges.

Outgoing judges would decide which cases to hear in the following term so that potential incoming judges could be disqualified from serving if there was even a hint of conflict of interest. If disqualified, another name could be randomly pulled from the hat and repeated as many times as necessary so as to seat 9 justices.

Clarence Thomas has eroded the legitimacy of the court by being Clarence Thomas.

He should resign for the good of the country.

But apparently he does not care about the "good of the country"

Only the good of Clarence Thomas.

Apparently.

From the cited article...

..."I do think that what happened at the court is tremendously bad. I think it's -- I wonder how long we're going to have these institutions at the rate we're undermining them," [Justice Thomas said]...

Why was Justice Thomas so quiet while fmr Pres Trump was taking the wrecking ball to the DoJ, the CDC and other important government institutions?

Why does he only seem to be objecting now?

It eroded my opinion of the system they work within.

It eroded my opinion of the Supreme Court environment.

The judges themselves I see no different than before the report was released.

Transparency is good. Laws are debated publicly before they are passed. I see no problem with public debate between judges on major legal rulings.

@#15 ... . Laws are debated publicly before they are passed. I see no problem with public debate between judges on major legal rulings. ...

One very significant difference...

Those who debate and pass the laws face re-election regularly.

Those who would debate and pass judgments are there for life.

I'd say not recusing yourself on a case that directly effects your wife AND being the only one voting to hide her criminal activity has done much more damage that a leak of a ruling that anyone could have seen was coming.

"It eroded my opinion of the Supreme Court environment."

Will you still blame the leaker if it turns out to be Ginni Thomas, or will you make excuses?

(Full disclosure: I believe it's someone on the left. I also believe the leaker, whoever it is, should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.)
