Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Monday, May 16, 2022

It was a conservative writer who coined the phrase "ideas have consequences." The mass shooting at a Buffalo supermarket on Saturday, which left 10 people dead, shows the consequences of two of the horrific ideas that have taken root on the American right: support for the "great replacement" theory and opposition to gun control. The young man wrote that he got his beliefs "mostly from the Internet," specifically from the 4chan bulletin board where white supremacists congregate. But his repugnant views are not confined to an obscure corner of the Internet. They have become mainstream within the Republican Party.

I would agree to an extent. I have heard people say stuff similar to this at work but they don't advocate going on a rampage. They want tight border controls and deportation. That being said Tucker Carlson's rhetoric is dangerous. His audience takes his words as gospel and run wild with it. The guy is basically a front for right wing nationalism. The Fox news of 10 years ago didn't go as far as he did.

He described himself as a "Green nationalist", an "authoritarian leftist", and a communist. In his manifesto.

Buffalo shooting: how white replacement theory keeps inspiring mass murder
Jason Stanley

This once fringe ideology, which was at the heart of Nazism, has gained mainstream traction thanks in part to the likes of Tucker Carlson on Fox News

Yeah, that's why he was shooting black folks, cause that's what extremist lefties are known to do in this country... oh, wait, maybe that's the rwinger's MO.

Yep, it is.

And ONEIRONOT describes himself as an "open borders liberal" but he's actually a trump supporting fascist trying to make liberals look bad.

"And ONEIRONOT describes himself as an "open borders liberal" but he's actually a trump supporting fascist trying to make liberals look bad."

Of course he is.

According to you, anybody to the right of Mao is.

You're not actually falling for his "open borders liberal" routine, are you?

That would indicate a cognitive decline; an accusation with which you are quite familiar.

I wasn't falling for anything. It was a reply to speaks everybody is a fascist routine.

Not everybody. But it's certainly on the rise. You've witnessed first-hand the militarization of the police, for example.

Watching a movie like Dog Day Afternoon, the cops all look like Barney Fife compared to now. It's jarringly out of place today.

What kind of country needs to really be so deeply worried about putting down riots and civil unrest, they make it a law enforcement top priority.
A fascist one.

I saw that piece of filth Tucker Carlson try to walk back his embrace of replacement theory.

No --------, you own it.

They also want cheap fruits and vegetables. You can't have both.

The local news cast here is calling this guy a "lone wolf".

He's not.

This is where the loudest faction of the GQP has been heading for the past decade or longer.

Charlottesville.

El Paso.

Tree of Life synagogue.

Boogaloo Bois attacks.

Monsey Hanukkah stabbing.

Dallas courthouse.

Poway Synagogue.

Louisiana church burnings.

Escondido Mosque burning.

Jeffersontown shooting.

Mail bombmings.

Blaze Bernstein

DeAndre Harris

Bloomington Mosque bombing

Portland Train Attack

Timoty Caughman

Olathe Kansas Shootings

Minneapolis.

Colorado Planned Parenthood

Charleston Church shooting

PA State Police Barracks

All white supremacists....all since 2014.

The "there were very fine people on both sides" crowd will not admit there is a dark undercurrent in their party and will yell and scream whenever law enforcement tries to prevent these terrorists from attacking because to them power is more important than Americans being able to shop or pray or work without being murdered by a sociopath white supremacist -------.

I missed Trump's statement condemning this -------. Was there one? He seems to be able to issue his royal decrees for every single little thing that annoys him, but not this.

He did use the Buffalo shooting for this www.businessinsider.com "Trump uses Buffalo mass shooting to make misleading boast about lack of US deaths in Afghanistan during his presidency"

---- him. He's filth.

If you support the party that attempted a coup to keep a fascist tyrant in power, then youre a fascist. I know you dont like being reminded of that, but I'll keep saying it until you stop being fascists.
