Vladimir Putin is "quite seriously ill" claims the former British spy Christopher Steele, who wrote a dossier on Donald Trump and alleged Russian interference in the 2016 US elections.

"Certainly, from what we're hearing from sources in Russia and elsewhere, is that Putin is, in fact, quite seriously ill," the former British spy said in an interview with Sky News on Sunday.

Mr Steele, however, said it could not be determined what the exact illness is.

"It's not clear exactly what this illness is " whether it's incurable or terminal, or whatever. But certainly, I think it's part of the equation," he added.

The remarks come after US magazine New Lines claimed to have obtained an audio recording of a Russian oligarch with close ties to Mr Putin telling a western venture capitalist that the Russian leader is "very ill with blood cancer".

- Those Nazis

You know, you could continue to be a moron and patented Putin patsy without lying about, "Nazis!".

"But the myth that Ukraine is run by far-right zealots is no more than Russian spin. In fact, during the federal election of 2019, the coalition of extreme-right parties, including the Azov movement's National Corps, received a total of 2.15 % of the votes and no seats in parliament in a -- according to Freedom House -- free and fair election."

www.euronews.com

2 percent of the vote. There are more Trump Nazis voting here. Perhaps you should start a campaign to rid the GOP of Nazis.

It would make more sense than your current more mythical pursuits.

But you'll prolly just run away again without refuting the well sourced and well reported facts about the utter lack of any meaningful number of Nazis in Ukraine.

While Steele is a dubious source at best, this one has a hilariously elastic definition of effective.

After abandoning both the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv fronts, they have lost ground at Kherson, Zelenodosk, and have been stalled at Izium and Popasna for two weeks after being drawn into it. Even next to Donetsk which they have occupied for years, they have managed to move less than 10 of the 200+ miles they need to complete the encirclement and have been stuck there several weeks.

Things have gone really sideways when even pro-Russian bloggers embedded with the troops are criticizing the war in the aftermath of the failed attempt to cross the Donets that saw an entire BTG wiped.

Unfortunately Russia has made a lot of ground in the south near Mykolaiv and Kryvyi Rih. Just not anywhere else... There is large force in that region but it is second to Izium/Popasna in size.

The Russians have made some progress around Severodonetsk. That pontoon bridge debacle crossing the Seversky Donets River near Severodonetsk where the Ukrainians destroyed at least 2 tactical groups - just mind blowing. At least 76 combat vehicles destroyed, conservatively that's over 200 troops likely KIA and likely more, I think they claim 400+ KIA there. I have to believe the M777s and other artillery flowing in will help in both regions. Maybe that was M777 at work...

With any luck all these sources are right - there is a coup in motion, Putin is terminally ill, etc. - and there will be an end to the conflict.

I've heard many say that...but it doesn't make any sense. It's something people say who don't understand war.

In any war, both sides will establish military objectives. Normally one belligerent in response to the actions of another. What sort of military objectives do you seen NATO pursuing relative to Russia? What sort or Russian objectives do you see the Russians setting relative to NATO?

You may think NATO wants to attack Russia, but it's simply not the case. I can't think of a single offensive military objective the alliance would choose to pursue. Similarly, what does Russia gain in attacking NATO? I can't see anything there either.

And as simple and obvious as it may seem, you can't have war when belligerents have nothing to gain from attacking one another.

Thomas Friedman recently penned an article saying much of the same. And I can't follow his logic either.

But America doesn't want to invade Russia,

Russia, and Putin, if they had any brains left, should call their

Actually, SPEAKS @ #26 is right.

it got ugly when putin installed a puppet president who killed a half million americans and tried to overthrow our democracy."

The master plan started to become clear shortly after Trump became president (small cap). The fact that Mr. Putin miscalculated Trump's ability to stay focused on the mission (as opposed to his revenge seeking ego trips) for four ugly years only lends to SPEAKS opinion.

So yes, it was ugly. Trump's incompetence, ignorance and daily busy schedule of casting blame led to the unnecessary death of hundreds of million people, all paid for by Mr. Putin in one form or another . . . cash through the NRA and other dark money sources . . . as the media organizations soon uncovered.

All that, and much more, woke the voters up to Russia's intention, with the blind acquiescence of the GOP, to destroy America's Constitutional Republic in favor of an autocracy with one party rule forever . . . so Trump got kicked to the curb.

And now, as we can all see, with or without Trump, the GOP wants to take another crack at it.

Oh we have to go back to basic facts do we?

Sure. Putin helped trump get elected. Although we dont know all of trump's financial ties to putin because mueller was forbidden to investigate it, we know trump lied about not having any business deals in moscow. He in fact was planning a putin suite in trump tower moscow. We know putin was the only one to keep giving trump loans when all other banks realized he's a bad investment. We know the dueche bank whistleblower with info on the matter was just assassinated in LA. We know trump was buying properties and then flipping them to russian oligarchs for far more than he paid at far above market rate.

Trump knew putin was supporting him in the election and instead of reporting it to the FBI, he welcomed that help. Paul Manafort was inexplicably selected a trump's campaign manager. Manafort's previous job was getting putin puppets elected in democracies across europe. Manafort charged trump NOTHING, but was in debt to russian oligarchs for 17 million. Trump shared polling data with putin, that putin used to target his troll armies on swing districts, spread anti hillary propaganda and encourage bernie fans to hate hillary. This is called colluding. When you commit a crime with someone THEY OWN YOU because they can expose your crimes at any time. So putin had power over trump. And trump started repaying him immediately by changing the GOP platform to let putin keep crimea. Then he selected putin's favorine oil exec to be secretary of state, despite him having no qualifications for the job, other than the fact that he'd profit massively from getting sanctions on russia lifted. Trump tried to lift the sanctions, but congress blocked him with a veto proof vote. When our intelligence agencies said putin helped trump win, trump said he believed putin over them. Trump fired all the people with institutional knowledge on russia from the state department and tried to back out of NATO, but was stopped by his team.

As for his half million american deaths, there was this thing called covid 19. And it made trump look bad. So instead of doing all he could to save american lives, he attacked reality instead and tried to make americans think it was no big deal, and it was being exaggerated to harm trump. So it became a sign of loyalty to trump and opposition to libs to reject covid science, eat horse paste, and not wear masks or get vaccinated, which is estimated to have resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.

Congrats. You're all caught up now.

We also know all the times trump and his team refused to testify and obstructed justice in the extremely limited mueller investigation. And all the lies they told about their contacts with russians.

And you still have morons every day claiming russiagate was "debunked" when in reality there are mountains of facts that it was the biggest scandal in modern american political history. But trump knows americans are morons and if he could get a AG who would tell them he didn't do anything, that would get him off the hook and no one would take the time to look at all the facts.

Breastfeeding and the pumping that frequently goes along with it takes an incredible amount of time, which many working mothers simply don't have. Additionally, many mothers struggle to produce any milk at all, be it due to PPD or other unknown factors. So the mother using formula who you judge to be a lazy moron might have tried for weeks/months to breastfeed their kid and felt like absolute ---- for being unable to produce milk despite it being beyond their control.

This isn't the caveman days where a mother can sit around nursing all day long for months or years on end, or where we let babies go malnourished because their mothers cannot produce enough milk. Grow up.

"As for his half million american deaths, there was this thing called covid 19."

I know. Had it. No big deal. So did billions of others. Is this some sort of conspiracy where you think Trump created COVID in a lab somewhere?

And it made trump look bad. So instead of doing all he could to save american lives, he attacked reality instead and tried to make Americans think it was no big deal, and it was being exaggerated to harm trump.

For the extremely vast majority of people...it literally was NO. BIG. DEAL.

I mean, you're an authoritarian, so you're probably a far of the Xi method of responding to COVID...but it doesn't work. Still, if extreme authoritarianism is what makes you feel safer, maybe an extended visit to China is in the cards for you.

That's funny, because for that to actually work, it would have to be capitalism supporting socialism that rescues capitalism.

Socialist don't exists without capitalists to underwrite them.

You know the US does the same thing, right?

Putin hated Hillary because of her efforts to sway public opinion against him in 2016.

Personally, I don't care. You're getting dangerously close to saying that citizens should be limited to the sources of information they have access to, which is little different from saying that there should be limits as to how people should be allowed to vote. And... now we're back in the USSR.

The Lockdowns were a big deal. Probably something our kids will never forgive us for.

The actual COVID virus is what wasn't such a big deal. For me it was ten days of day drinking and XBox. Kind of like a boring vacation.

To me the term "viewpoint" implies that it is genuinely held and expressed in good faith, and obvious Russian propaganda does not meet that relatively low bar.

"I wrote a long detailed post to you explaining this in detail yesterday and you simply ran away and didn't respond. If I re post it will you actually read it?"

I read it...it was just stupid.

Trump was legally elected as president. People voted for him. Putin may have wanted Trump as president...but that's immaterial. It's the voters who put him there.

"How many deaths due to trump's lies are an acceptable number for you?"

So where do you see Trump having gone wrong? By not overruling state's rights and implementing a Chinese-style martial law lockdown? By not lying and making COVID look like a bigger threat than it was.

If your issue was with him talking about injecting bleach or some of that stupid nonsense, I'm with you. But having lived in Europe under martial law during much of COVID, I can appreciate Trump's allowing the states to make their own decisions. Effectively, he allowed people to make their own decisions based on their own individual risk calculus.
