You can thank Trump for the world being more unstable than it was at the end of the Obama Administration.

Admit it gas prices were better under Obama than under Bush.

If you can't figure out you're getting played, you're even dumber than the oil guy.

Lfthndturds wants Biden to step in and force gas companies to charge less at the pump.

He dreams of a strong government controlling businesses.

He dreams of a boot on his neck.

Today's conservatives are a weird lot.

Of course this is the ---- that ------ lfthndturd swallows.

These are just facts.

The ones nobody wants to drill?

Who said that? Oil companies? Or Biden Administration's apparatchik?

Cooks Inlet
www.blm.gov

The oil and gas company has said an ongoing drilling program could change that, the utilities say. Also, the state says Cook Inlet has plenty of gas awaiting discovery to meet future needs, while Hilcorp has an ambitious plan to continue investing in the Inlet, at least in the next few years.

Talk about swallowing and going back for more.

Which one? Do you know the vertical of this industry? Or do just see more profits from cherry picked company, in the midst of ever increasing inflation rate as a sign they are "making a killing"?

Are you taking issue with the claim that pumps are being reprogrammed to accommodate gas over $10.00/gal or just cackling? If you're just cackling you can go cry in your fake vagina, as LYD so eloquently put it.

Well of course he does. And of course he is.

The man likes dictators because.....Well, we've seen him support some, haven't we?

I've said this for years because it's only the truth: the Right doesn't mind being slaves if only the correct person enslaves them.

The last .5 years he spent trying to stay in power and keep thinking and doing for himself.

You worship the Clown Messiah.

One who had to be blocked from starting a war with Iran so that gas prices could be....Wait for it....$10.00 a gallon.

You people amaze and disgust me. A kleptocracy in America modeled on Russia will created a situation here like we see in Russia now.

We can easily imagine a God-Emperor Trump or a God-Emperor DeSantis leading a gutted American military into Mexico to punish Hispanic aggression and grinding to a humiliating halt in front of Monterrey.

... $10/gal fuel ...

To see where the problem lies, look at the oil company profits earlier this year.

For example, Exxon-Mobil's profits nearly doubled.

So, if their profits are increasing so substantially, why are they continuing to raise prices at the pump?

Could Big Oil be exploiting a situation so they can raise prices excessively to help to get a Republican administration in the Oval Office?

Nah, Big Oil wouldn't do something like that. Or would they?

Why would anyone attempt to develop mineral rights on blocks where there are no minerals? Why would any one put up a facility where it costs more to set up to extract than you'll get from getting it out? I notice the WHY of why these blocks weren't developed isn't mentioned, so this is basically a hit piece for political purposes.

It literally takes years once a block has been bought to get oil out of the ground. It takes lots of money to do that, so much so, that most oil companies go in pardners with other oil companies just to fund the building of a facility. It's not cheap, nor is it quick.

Add to this that CEOs and board members of oil companies have been more focused on stock buy back and returning profits to shareholders than it has been with erecting more facilities. If the money is going for stock buybacks, then it isn't getting invested into new facilities. Buying back stock doesn't increase oil output, it raises the price so that CEOs and board members get a quick pay raise without doing anything more.

Since getting oil out of the ground is years in getting set up, we won't see any relief from the present oil situation any time soon.

I hope you like the present cost of gas. The oil companies do. Why should they drill more, when they are getting substantial returns at present without doing anything more?

Lastly if a block isn't developed within a set period of time, then it returns to the government, even if the mineral rights were paid for.

LftHndThrds just repeats what he's told.

It's why he's a third generation oil man, instead of doing anything to improve the world with his life.

He just does what he's told.

The way he speaks here seems normal to him. This is what his conversations are like in real life. No substance, just virtue signaling.

"From a proven liar. Yeah you really stuck me in the heart with that one."

So. You actually have a heart then? Could have fooled me. Probably because it's two sizes too small to see.

Once again when capitalism fails republicans cry and whine and demand the government take control of the production and distribution of a critical product. In other words they demand socialism!

They literally demand that the President use socialism to rescue us from the failures of capitalism once again.
