Bess Levin: As conservatives across the country wage war on reproductive rights, demanding by law that women be forced to carry any pregnancy to term, regardless of the circumstances, they frequently (slash always) like to forget that they do absolutely nothing to support these people during said pregnancies or after.

Remember a few months ago when Republicans became outraged because New York City health people were focusing upon finding and treating COVID patients in the areas of the city where COVID was hitting the hardest? The Republicans lost it because those areas were mainly Black neighborhoods, and the Republicans were outraged that white neighborhoods were not receiving the medical attention they needed (in actuality, they were receiving that medical attention, but that didn't stop the Republicans from becoming outraged and complaining about yet another made-up issue.

Based upon that, will Sen Cassidy work towards resolving the maternal mortality of Blacks problem?
