Pretty sure you can't be a Republican if you aren't corrupt.

Could there be a worse team name than

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

Accusing an 'elected' official in Anaheim of corruption is like handing out speeding tickets at the Daytona 500. Disney has owned the city council for decades. In a strong list, it is probably the most corrupt town in America.

The Angels are actually factually incorrect. Anaheim is in Orange County, not Los Angeles county.

Yes, I live in Orange County and when they made this last name change, the argument was that in the national TV market, Los Angeles was a more recognizable name than Anaheim or even Orange County. I'm sorry, but I'm sure that the 'national' audience doesn't really care where they might THINK that the team is located. The whole thing reeked of some sort of 'deal' where money changed hands, and not just above board in terms of sponsors and naming rights, but something more nefarious and now it looks like that was the case all along.

Personally I think the Angels went down the tubes when Artie bought them. The ol' Cowboy at least had some class.
