Idaho police officers on Saturday arrested 31 people who are believed to be affiliated with the White nationalist group called Patriot Front, after they were seen gathering near a Pride parade in the city of Coeur d'Alene, police said. "It is clear to us based on the gear that the individuals had with them, the stuff they had in their possession, the U-Haul with them along with paperwork that was seized from them, that they came to riot downtown," Coeur d'Alene Police Chief Lee White said during a news conference.

The----------- rabble continues to be roused by the Big Lie.

Trump should get another year in prison for each time he tells it.

These are the people the DOJ and DHS mean when they warn that racist white nationalists are the biggest threat of organized domestic violence in this country.

These are also the people that every Trumper enables by supporting the Orange Klan Wizard.

This is -------, I'm shocked the cops didn't take a long coffee break and let the white supremacists have their way with the pride folks. Good on Coeur d'Alene PD for properly doing their jobs. You drive north to and still see lots of giant Trump signs and right before you enter Bonner's Ferry you pass a "This is Trump Country" sign, that's where the racists should have been demonstrating, I'm sure they would have all had get out of jail free cards!

Bonner's is about a three hour drive from here.... it's a whoooole different planet down there. Bonner's, Hayden, Sandpoint... sheesh.

I had a lifelong friend in the Idaho Senate. He was a very conservative traditional Republican. I warned him his party was filled with loons and expect an attack from his right, but he ignored me. He lost his primary to a total Reichwing goofball. -------... it is what it is.

Wouldn't SOP be to strip them of their masks right away? They are only going to get charged with a misdemeanor, and that likely wont stick. Names and faces is the only real punishment.

I'm setting the over/under for cops in the group arrested at 3.5

I used to date a girl from Sandpoint. She seemed ok. Looked her up a few years ago. She became a far right bigot. I don't know if she just hid that from me or Trump rotted her brain.

This wannabe riot took a lot of online planning:

Those arrested came from at least 11 states, including Washington, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Colorado, South Dakota, Illinois, Wyoming, Virginia, and Arkansas, White said.

Only one was from Idaho, he said.

Good thread on the atmospherics of the day. Scroll down a bit to see the white nationalists handcuffed and kneeling on the grass, waiting to be unmasked:

I'm currently in Coeur d'Alene where an annual family event called Pride in the Park is projected to come under attack from fascist militias and right-wing / christo-fascist extremists.

Mugshots have been released of those who are supposedly members of Patriot Front and were pulled out of the back of a U-Haul truck one block from the Pride in the Park events.

All were arrested for Criminal Conspiracy and have since bailed out of jail.

I heard that they mistakenly thought the Pride event was a White Pride event, and many of them are actually grateful they were detained before they ended up in an embarrassing and awkward situation.

"This is an absolute textbook example of the way they do stuff. It could be chapter one in their book of how to do a recruitment rally," said Greg Rogers, a retired FBI special agent.

Rogers knows the ins and outs of these groups. He spent the last 20 years of his career working undercover.

"I lived with different militia groups for years, became members, spent a whole lot of time in Coeur d'Alene," Rogers said.

He believes the patriot front planned this as a type of recruitment rally. Rogers says the group intentionally did not have weapons with them.

"The worst thing you could do in the world to a militia member is not only to charge, but convict them of a felony and then they can't possess their weapons which is the most important thing in their entire lives," Roger said.

Police say the 31 members were booked with suspicion of conspiracy to riot. But Rogers says that was likely their plan, because that charge is hard to convict.

"By the time all this is over with it's going to be equivalent to a traffic ticket," Rogers said.
