The WikiLeaks founder can appeal the order, a move that would extend the years long legal battle he has been waging to avoid being sent to the U.S. to face trial.

I testified to Congress that Trump and Roger Stone discussed the Podesta emails dump in advance of Assange and #WikiLeaks action. Maybe now that truth will also be revealed! Britain approves Julian Assange's extradition to U.S. - ... @NBCNews

Is Mr Assange a hero, or a traitor?

I don't think it is binary.

Yes, he surfaced much information that was not meant to be surfaced, and he may have been used by some entities with not the best of purpose.

But in doing so, he did a public service.

For me, in order to consider him a hero, he should stand up and face the consequences of what he did.

Running away to hide from legal responsibility is not a trait of someone I would consider to be a hero. (fwiw, that is also my opinion of Mr Snowden, heroes do not run and hide.)

Simply stated...

Heroes Do Not Run.

He's a traitor and likely a rapist as well.

Anyone that can't understand the difference between "whistleblowing" and "assisting & coercing a federal employee to hack a federal database" is, frankly, an idiot.

Anyone that paid attention to Wikileaks over it's life (which should be most long-term Drudge readers) saw it devolve from an anarchical leak website to a politically motivated "blog". From an open resource for leaked information to a catered release of politically damaging semi-truths.

---- assange and every champagne socialist hack that defends that sell-out.

Assange should be extradited, brought to the US and pardoned. Then, given a huge celebration ceremony.

He got all the data from SQL injections. I'm not sure that's really hacking a federal database.

Yes. I am sure you deplorables will greet him with open arms and fists full of pardons.

After all you just LOVE Wikileaks. According to your cult leader.

Leakers and whistle-blowers are to be celebrated, unless of course they harm a Democrat's reputation. Then they should executed for treason.

putin's favorite whistle blower is going to be blowing something else soon.

And Snowden too.

Leakers and whistlers are to be praised unless they leak and whistle the truth about Trumpy and his minions lawless thirst for power.

Then they are to be scorned and mocked.
