John Eastman, the lawyer who wrote the memo outlining how Pence could refuse to certify the count of electoral votes, was asked if it would have been OK if Al Gore had declared himself the winner in 2001 or will Kamala Harris have the ability to do so in 2025, and Eastman said NO, that they were NOT capable of doing so, but in the case of Pence, that was a different situation and he would be able to.

That is the mental gymnastics that so many of the tRumpturds go through on the daily basis from private personal email accounts to dealing with Russia and China by the tRump crime family. It's different when tRump does it because he is the magat king.

It's a pattern. If anyone recalls, Trump ignored U.S. Intelligence in favor of Russia's Intelligence ~ probably because, in his meeting in Helsinki with Mr. Putin, it was what he was ordered to do.

My guess is that reek was ordered to run for POTUS by Putin in 2015 as payback for Putin bailing him out when banks wouldn't finance his corrupt over leveraged business anymore. Giving a massive tax cut, a program of cheap health insurance with no copays or deductibles that covers everything, while giving huge increases to war machine while simultaneously paying off the debt and forcing companies to bring good jobs back to the US was nothing but lies (except for the massive tax cut for millionaires) that he had no intention of accomplishing. Yet the children that voted for him believed he was their Santa Claus. They are detached from reality. That is why they still love the corrupt bloated treasonous criminal so much.

The big lie that lead to the insurrection as now morphed into the big fleece where the Mango ------- has stolen $250,000,000 from the dumbest of the dumb under the premise of fighting the steal and NONE of it has been spent on "the steal" and instead has be siphoned off by him and his corrupt family.

Now he is charging an entrance fee for his "rallies". Just liberating the money out of the wallets of these morons.

We're talking about disputed electors appointed by the legislature

2000 was about counting the votes in Florida before the certification. Once the SCOTUS stole the election for Bush, Gore committed to a peaceful transition and followed through.

This time the votes were counted, recounted and certified by AZ, PA and GA. The electors were selected based on the results of the votes. Then Roody Colludy, Eastman, Ellis and Dotard set about to get them to throw out those electors for ones that would vote for Dotard in clear violation of the laws of the states and the will of the voters.

When the secretaries of state asked for proof, they were given conspiracy theories and zero proof because they had none. Dotard claimed 50,000 dead people voted in GA... it turned out to be 4. The secretaries of state were then singled out by Dotard and became targets of the angry mob of mouth breathers. Poll workers were harrassed and threatened with death at the direction of Dotard.

Then they set about trying to get Pence to violate the Constitution. Instead of going to the FBI with their demands, he instead sought out legal experts to find any legal way he could do their bidding. Only when he exhausted any and all avenues to do it he resigned himself to doing what he was required to do. He's no hero anymore than me not stopping and robbing the eleven banks I pass on my way home every night.

Eastman told Pence he had the power to throw out the electors and accept the alternate and illegal electors. When Eastman was pressed on whether his plan meant that Gore could've declared himself the winner in 2000 and Harris could throw out the electors in 2024 and declare herself the winner Eastman said no, but in this case it was different but wouldn't say why.

So Dotard sent his mouthbreathers to kill Pence and disrupt the counting in the vain hopes of throwing out the electors and sending it to the House where they would vote, one vote per state who won the electoral count with Republicans holding the majority in the number of states.

Why else would Grassley speculate that he was going to oversee the vote couting on 1/5?
