Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), who faces a primary election Tuesday, says she is "tired" of the U.S. separation of church and state, a long-standing concept stemming only from a "stinking letter" penned by one of the Founding Fathers.

Technically, she's one of what is called a, "Christofascist".

Jesus wept.

No here in that book she obviously has never read is the idea expressed that Christians should try to in any way, shape, or form "direct" the government.

And I'm tired of people having kids while in high school and then pretending like they're a moral authority.

2 abortions Boobert has an ignorant opinion?

I'm sure everyone is shocked.

Not only should Christians not try and direct government but should be subservient to government.

"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." Romans 13:1

does boobert really not understand that the more church and state overlap the more church gets destroyed by the state?

There's a lot Boebert doesn't get and I'm positive that's definitely something she also doesn't get.

Through the lens of Democracy and Demographics, I'm glad there's a Sex Worker in Congress.

No pun intended.

For the GQP, Bieber provides the baseline for checking the "mission accomplished" box when it comes to public education. Alternative facts, hate, and boolsheet make for a potent brew.

She is the perfect blend of arrogance, stupidity and corruption.

She is a traitor who loves the 2A but the other ones she conveniently ignores except the 5A which she will plead if ever compelled to testify.

She won her Primary with twice as many votes as her opponent. Welcome to my world.

If Ms. Boebert would prefer to live in a society more reflective of the norms of first century Palestine, there are already several option available to her in the Middle East and North Africa. She might like Iran, Afghanistan, or Chad better than the U.S. I recommend she self-deport, immediately.

First amendment to the constitution - "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"

Boebert should be impeached for failing to uphold her oath, "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic"

She won her primary 65-35.

This is today's Republican party. SCOTUS basically agrees with her.

Gee, guess what? Another Catholic sex abuse investigation.

How can we separate the church from the state when we can't separate the priests from the altar boys?

This is the church Boebert et al. want directing the government.

Her argument is no better than Dems arguments that because the Constitution doesn't specifically state someone has to be able to prove their identity to be considered a citizen then they don't have to show one to vote.

Stupidity all around.

AHHH, Scummy, Little Putin Pedophile thinks he has an an opinion on stupidity. Stupid is as stupid does, pretty much sums up the entire GQP.

Now go wait for the kids in your neighborhood to come around so you can ply them with candy.

"We defer to the expert."

There's a big difference between stupidity and objectivity. Stupidity is in the character of someone (such as demeaning someone) and the other uses available evidence to logically make a conclusion (such as relating one event to others to make a clear point).

So your argument is invalid and proves my definition of stupidity correct. Thank you.

Well I'm tired of this Boobert junk. I hope Colorado wakes the ---- up and puts her back on Rifles back streets where she came from.

@#25 ... We defer to the expert. ...

I liken the Humtake alias' lunchtime visits here to the "5 O'clock Charlie" episode of the classic M*A*S*H TV show's episode, "5 O'clock Charlie."

An inept North Korean pilot in an obsolete plane attempts (and fails) to bomb the ammunition dump placed near the 4077th every day, at exactly 5 o'clock, by dropping a small bomb from his plane. ...

"WHATABOUT something totally not comparable! That's just as bad!"

Anything to say about boeberts statement or is deflecting all you can do?

Boebert's statements and actions regarding the Establishment Clause, presaging the further push toward a theocracy, is more significant than voter ID.
