Contraception, trans rights, gay marriage--none of them are "deeply rooted" in our nation's history and therefore are no longer protected under the 14th Amendment, according to the current SC reasoning, so all are potentially at risk in future SC rulings.

All you people who sat out 2016 or voted for Stein are responsible for this.

Saw a headline that they might gut the EPA today.
We're going back to the 1890's whether we want to or not.

Yeah, I forgot about that one. Climate change isn't in the Constitution or "deeply rooted" in our nation's history, so need to concern ourselves with that.

Slavery is "deeply rooted" in American History, think they'll make that legal again in Alabama?

AR-15s are of course "deeply rooted" in American history.

Terry Stops are "deeply rooted" in American history too. Right, Republicans?

"Saw a headline that they might gut the EPA today."
Which, in a sane universe, would be particularly troublesome for Republicans, seeing as their moral and ideological leader Richard Nixon created that agency.

They're not going to "gut" the EPA, dumbass.
They're just going to bitch slap it and put it back in its place with regards to forcing huge swaths of the economy to "decarbonize".

So the Environmental Protection Agency should stop protecting the environment?

Of course not, -----------.
They just need to be reminded that they're simply a federal bureaucracy that needs to operate within their authority.

"gut" the EPA vs bitch slap it and put it back in its place with regards to forcing huge swaths of the economy to "decarbonize".
^ Is there a difference between these two things?

What would you like them to stop doing?

"Is there a difference between these two things?"
Let's see... if you had to choose between one of those two things happening to you, would you prefer one over the other?

All you people who insisted on running an entitled candidate and deemed it, her turn, and didn't care that she was running a tone deaf campaign... this is your fault.

Anyone that supported Clinton in the primary that year is similarly responsible for disenfranchising the democratic base.
At this point, it's starting to look like the clinton-democrats wanted trump to win strictly for down-ballot fundraising purposes.

Since when is regulating emissions from industry not with the EPA's purview?
Or is CO2 somehow different than H2S, mercury ect ect?

Mao, you MUST have some oil securities huh? Trying to protect those 'dirty little investments'?
The EPA's purview IS the ENVIRONMENT and its health. The Fossil Fuel Industry is bad for the Environment. Period. Full stop. Thus, alternate fuel sources have been researched, proven viable, and have to a limited (but increasing) degree, been implemented. The ONLY way out of increase atmospheric destruction of the biosphere (that part of the planet we live in) is through increased funding and pace of alternative energy production and implementation. And no rightwing politics or wish fulfillment will change that fact. So if you don't want a constantly warming planet, one that is increasingly uninhabitable, I suggest you get with the program...
