... A report commissioned by the Pentagon concluded that the blockchain is not decentralized, is vulnerable to attacks ...

What took them so long.

I've known that for at least a year.

Books have been written about it.

"the blockchain is not decentralized, is vulnerable to attacks and is running outdated software."

In other words, it's functionally indistinguishable from the global banking fiat currency system.

Yeah... Bitcoin $50... Government says scan. Bitcoin $5000. Government says scam. Bitcoin $20000... Government says scan. Cryptos are about something called "Internet of Things.". The world is changing . Find out about iot now or find out later. Why but low when you can buy high? Apple was a $6 stock this century.

But why might the Pentagon be commissioning such a report?

(Stats nerd): $18.01

Frankenmorons everywhere: Whaaaaaaa!

Bitcoin winners: "How did you think we paid for all those expensive ads, dummies???"

#4 Crypto's few useful use cases include Nork and Russian ransomware laundering and evading sanctions. Maybe Biden wants to do a 51% attack and kill Bitcoin.

@#7 ... a 51% attack ...

Ahhh.... you understand.

Nocoiners hate bitcoin and know very little about it. American dollar... Fake moneu. American debt... Fake money. Debit and credit cards... Fake money. I have cryptos, gold and silver. Most Americans have no gold and silver either. Isn't fiat currency great? I would love to have all my best in the Merican dollar. What could go wrong?

" Nocoiners hate bitcoin and know very little about it. "

What did you buy it for, and how much are you in?

A crypto fanboy. Awesome.

Crypto is a joke. Just a fancier get rich scheme for those pushing it and a lucky other few.

Cryptocurrency is, and has always been, a scam.

"Main value driver of unbacked FIAT currency, The Pentagon (Powered by Windows 95), cites faux concerns for generalized 'blockchain'"

It's kinda like the police investigating themselves and finding no wrongdoing.

I guess silver is good if you are a doomsday prepper with an understanding of antibacterials.

But gold is a meme. Bitcoin is also a meme. Bitcoin is like the pets dot com of blockchain; it helped popularize the space but the value isn't there.

I'm not sure why people don't feel this way about regular currency.
Especially since we went off the gold standard.

But a scam isn't a scam once enough people believe in it.

Umm. "Most Americans" have no money. Much less to invest in crypto.

If all of your income goes to paying your monthly expenses. There isn't any money left after you pay the bills to buy crypto or gold or silver or anything else.

Around 64% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck, according to a May 2022 LendingClub survey.

Figure the rest out yourself.
