Hutchinson Testimony Spurs a Lot of New Witnesses to Step Up

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) revealed on Sunday that new witnesses have come forward after former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson testified before the Jan. 6 Committee.

Those secret service men who were escorting Pence to safety were armed. I have no doubt they would have pulled their guns and fired into the crowd if necessary.

As it was, the insurrectionists didn't have a clue they were that close to Pence. Had they known, I'm sure some blood would have been spilled in that hallway.

As for "I want Trump in prison," I hope you get your wish. But first we have to let the DOJ prosecutors do their thing. The bar is very high for prosecuting ex-presidents. Their evidence has to be bulletproof before they even go for an indictment.

If you really want Trump to go to prison, you'd be very unhappy if he got off because the DOJ rushed to a trial without everything in their favor. As I said, the bar is very high.

Be patient.

The committee has four months to finish its work and publish its report. If Dems lose the House, Gym Jordan will be at the Capitol the following morning, before sunrise, to wrest the committee gavel from Bennie Thompson's hands and shut the entire thing down.

I predict that if there are two more witnesses with the same sort of story as Ms. Hutchinson testifying in front of the 1/6 Committee, Trump will announce his candidacy for president before Labor Day. Of course, doing so might wreck the campaigns of many of his GOP acolytes in the 2022 mid-term elections, and if Dems remain in control of the House because of the investigation and Trump's attention grab, the investigation will grind along and produce so much evidence of criminality on the part of so many in the White House that we could see Der Dotard do the perp walk.

Things are about to get even more weird than they have been in recent months. Stay tuned ...

imo, that's a given.

What I am wondering is whether or not the Democrats will have enuongh votes to sustain a veto.

Think of that ... a veto-proof Republican-controlled Congress.

Yeah, that is my "likely" (i.e., 60% scenario) scenario.
